    Old Testament goober... Try again.

Hell it even says inLeviticus, God tells Moses, “If a man commits adultery with another man’s wife-with the wife of his neighbor-both the adulterer and the adulteress must be put to death” (NIV, Leviticus 20:10).

    Again, OLD TESTAMENT.

Did we not have a long discussion about how you have yet to refer to the NEW TESTAMENT?

    Nice try dude.

Gworld, I would love to continue explaining more, but the more I do the further you take it. I do believe that you are a very educated and smart person, but education does not solve all problems. There are some very educated idiots out there, some of which blow themselves up.

Also, Jeremy (mia) is correct in that there is compassion from God, if you don't believe me ask Him. God is Just and Righteous, but also has mercy. Do you know what mercy means? look it up it is a very powerful thing when someone has mercy on you.

How about grace, ever find out what that is? It truely is an awesome thing too.

I keep wanting to say "Take the blue pill, NEO, and wake up to reality" but the reality is much greater than anyting neo ever saw. When you see God's love and recieve His forgiveness, there is peace that goes beyond words.

muslims are very much against homosexuality. Probably why you are posting it. There has been quite a number of attacks by muslim men on homosexuals in Holland this year.

I have to agree with mia. I don't care about the homosexuality issue. People are going to be people. I never met a gay person that wanted to blow up buildings or act as a suicide bomber. My philosophy on gay men is "as long as you are not checking out my ass, we'll be cool."

gworld, I'm convinced now, more than ever you are the typical muslim I have debated throughout the years that masks himself with kitman by saying he doesn't believe in God (but never mentioning Allah) or is Athiest. I've seen it too often. And as mia points out, you bash everything American, freedom, God, Christian, etc and always defend (reactionary, might I add) the quaran, muslims, terrorists, killing of innocent Christians and Jews and others.

Lie as you will. I know better. You've offered so many lies in this thread that I have no respect or belief in anything you say.

So go right ahead and defend your terrorist buddies. I think anyone that actually has taken the time to read the thread knows what you are doing. Hell, even Ray Charles could see it, if he were still with us.

The old testament has God's justice and he is right to Judge. (If you go create a world, you can go be the judge, but you got to make your own dirt first.)

The new testament shows us his mercy and grace in many more ways than shown in the old testament. King David was a murderer and God had mercy on him. Check it out! It gives hope.

Jonah directly disobeyed God and he was swallowed by a whale and then did as God asked. God didn't kill him, that is mercy.

Homosexuality is common in middle east because of the lack of contact with women in certain part of society, so how do you know one of the 9/11 terrorists was not a gay in the closet? There are many of those you know, was not a while back that a male prostitute was visiting the white house? Did it ever come out who he was visiting? :D
You seem very concerned about your ass, I know that your opinion makes you an ass but do you have a nice ass too? :D

In regard to your repeating non sense about me being a Muslim, I have answered you in previous postings with an example on what happens if I just state that you are an Idiot but it seems you didn't get it.
Let's make a deal, you can say that I am a Muslim and I say that you are an Idiot. We are even, let's leave it at that. ;)

So was the last Pope. I admit he probably never hunted one down and bashed his head in but still, homosexuality has been medically proven to be a natural abberation and as such, would it not then be considered as part of God's inscrutable plan to a religious person?

As such, why are gay men and women not allowed to partake in every aspect of life that the rest of us take for granted - marriage, priesthood, parenthood? I admit I have never read the Old or New Testament, except for what was shoved down my throat at school, so I would like to know the bible's position on discrimination.

"The research on homosexuality is very clear. Homosexuality is neither mental illness nor moral depravity. It is simply the way a minority of our population expresses human love and sexuality. Study after study documents the mental health of gay men and lesbians. Studies of judgment, stability, reliability, and social and vocational adaptiveness all show that gay men and lesbians function every bit as well as heterosexuals." The American Psychological Association's Statement on Homosexuality, 1994-JUL.

Do you mean your all mighty God with infinite wisdom, was not very wise or knowledgeable in Old Testament and correct it his mistakes in the New Testament? Did he go to school or something between the two testaments?
Do you have any quotation from New Testament that contradicts the above quotation from Old Testament since if you don't, how do you know that God changed his mind. If you heard it directly from Jesus, can you please tape your next conversation, so we can hear it too. :)

May be the education doesn't solve all the problems but neither does ignorance. I am quite sure that for every educated idiot there are hundreds of uneducated idiots, after all how else could Bush win the election? :p

e10, you are asking the wrong person. I neither make a case for, nor against homosexuality. It is not an important issue for me. I do not attend rallies or other support functions for them, but I also do not put them down. They are what they are. I have no problem with anyone or any religion that does not threaten me, my family, my country or my way of life.

Unfortunately, I cannot answer your questions because they are of a subject that I do not follow on a daily or monthly basis.

In regards to muslims hating homosexuals, gworld (once again) has it quite wrong:

Wisdom and knowledge have nothing to do with it. If you had read both the New and Old Testament, or took the time to respect the Bible you would realize that God made the earth and man. God did not like what man became so he destroyed the world and started over. I am simplifing this of course.

So, Old Testament old world. New Testament new world.

There you go being silly again. How old are you anyway? You act like a litte kid. I'm thinking it is time for this thread to die. You are not being serious. You are acting like a 2 year old. When you decide you actually want to carry on a adult conversation, let us all know.

    Here we go again.

Simply put, the majority of us in the US must be uneducated idiots, because more people voted for Bush than for any other president in the history of our nation, PERIOD!

When are you going to get it through your thick skull that Bush won, because more people voted for him than his oponent? BOTH TIMES I might add!

If he was so horrible, stupid and hated, why was he re-elected by an OVERWHELMING majority no less?

You can add can't you. I cannot understand why liberal whacko's go off on tangents when it concerns Bush winning an election. They have such a hard time figuring out why he won. Let me help.

He won because more people voted for him, ie., he got more votes than the other guy. Does that make sense now?

Yes, I respect YSF1´s decision early on to stay out out this thread and his reasons for doing so. It has been interesting but kind of counter-productive to Arnie´s original post, I am sure. Taking political, religious and philosophical pot-shots at each other gets us no nearer the answer to his original question.

I respect you all too. Gtech, Mia, Debunked and Gworld for your POV´s and general grace at putting your views forward (with the occasional dip into name-calling :) ) Be thankful to your God or simply to your luck at being born in a place where personal viewpoints can be expressed in this way.

If we stop this thread, another one will get started again. As long as terror exists and people are afraid of it, they will come and express their opinions. When ppl stop talking, misundertandings follow. I think this thread is great, the first political thread without AnthonyCea butting in with "gates and Bush control your brainwaves thru satellites" conspiracy threadjacks. What has bothered me the most and does in real life is when folks like Wissam on the first pages come in with comments such as "Islam is peaceful, I am a muslim, I love peace" and then don't stick around to answer one single question.

Yeah, but at least with Anthony, it was fun. I always assumed he was not serious. The conspiracy theories, Haliburton this, etc., made the thread a bit less heated and humourous at times.

Fair enough ST. :) I would like to see some other opinions and viewpoints though. The Usual Suspects in this thread are each very eloquent and I think others may be following the thread but be afraid to voice their own thoughts. It would be nice to see some other people enter the thread, for a wider view on the various subjects, don´t you think?

I just wonder why some people think they have the authority to tell others what and when to talk about things. Mia IMO was referring to the fact that we are talking about the same things again and again, nothing new comes to light if we get the same old accusations against our government thrown at us. I would love to get some questions answered that are so conveniently being avoided.
