It's awfully cold in that place you call reality.

Funny stuff though.. I especially like number 3. Now tell me, if she then converts to Muslimanity, would she then have to be killed/stoned for adultery?

Gtech, the reason why people are against the war is because of Bush and the right-winged wackos.

Notice that they are against anything and everything bush does?? Even when Bush does exactly what they wanted with a law or whatever they will be against it.

So no matter how many facts you put down on the table, if Bush is there they will be against it. SIMPLE AS THAT.

Cheers mate.. Nah, needed a break. I've been replacing wireless radios for two days now due to all these storms in the midwest, (brought on by global bickering no doubt).
Bingo! Yes, do remember where Bush got his intelligence from. The previous administration.

One can always attempt to discredit another's proof by saying I don't accept it. I think that's a given in debate.

That is your opinion, but evidence suggests otherwise. If I'm going to take the time to provide sources, at least go through them instead of looking for a single line item to contest. Did you not read the Jordan plot, or shall I find another source from the self-imposed list below to show it happened? Iraq, Zarqawi, captured said they were working for Iraq, 20 tons of chemical weapons.

Are you the sole definer of credible? Newsmax is very much a credible source. If you have reason to believe otherwise, then back it up with something other than opinion. Wouldn't that be fair.

But you miss the whole point of the NewsMax article (at least the one about the NYT). The reason I posted it is because with the NYT, you must have a subscription. If you have a login, you can read the article here:

    http://www.nytimes.com/auth/login?U...D49Q60Q25sJT400saaQ25iQ5DJXQ3Es99Q5D-Q5CQ5DTs

    I disagree.

I disagree again. By limiting one's news sources, it makes it far more difficult to prove a valid point. I follow news from around the world. I would not rely on cnn, msnbc, especially the BBC, abc, nbc, or cbs for accurate reporting [edit] on the war in Iraq. That is not to say that some isn't accurate, but they have all shown, over time, a bias in news reporting and deliberately withholding material in the revolving around the iraq war.

I'll provide the sources I have and you can simply dismiss them. It works well for gworld :D

True. And in the years to come when certain policy or decisions made by Bush prove to be the right choice (no I do not think all his choices are the right ones), those to the left will claim responsibility.

    It's a vicious circle.

    I agree.

Indeed, we've seen some of that in this post. But it's not the Robs or the gworlds, whose minds are closed and would rather the information not be discussed, it's those out there that have not taken the time to fully understand what is going on and what we are dealing with, that I hope are able to gleen something from.

There IS a problem. One side says so and presents countless references to such a problem. There is the other side that says there isn't a problem, nothing to see here folks, lets all move along. Sounds like denial to me.

The unfortunate thing is many of those that bitch about the US, do not live here. They are really good at pointing out how bad we are, but really have no right to criticize in areas where they have no understanding. Anyway, that's my feeling on the subject.

I think you're a little bit in denial here. Individuals is being used as in "isolated incidences". Would a term like that really apply here?

Btw: do you believe that women should be allowed to vote and have the same right as men do?

It seems to me that those defending Islam would sing a very different tune if they themselves had to live under oppression for a year or two.

    Great thread btw.

God bless America, UK, Australia, Israel and many many more nations where we can come together, yell at one another, choose who to be friends with and say what we want to say about what our government or any government in the world is doing.

    How should you stop terror?
Find out who supports it in any way shape or form, even by just being a silent symphasizer. Then see what is causing them to be that way (common denominators). Individualism does not really apply here. There are driving forces, those that are being driven, those being undecided etc. Find out what the schools teach them when they are kids and who decides what is being taught.

Those schools would be in Saudi Arabi, the worlds biggest supporter and exporter of terrorism.

Don't you guys find it outragous that the Saudis fund our enemies but we are so scared of them messing with oil that we do nothing

    http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A13266-2004Aug18.html

oh and here is an article that says bush funded the 911 terrorists

    http://bellaciao.org/en/article.php3?id_article=7191

at least thats what the headline says looks more credible then newsmax which is covered with blinking right wing banners, selling jeff gannon workout videos

And everything in that article says what I said. No one in the Bush administration every said that Saddam had anything to do with the events that occurred on 9/11. However.. Saddam did have links to Al-Qaeda and did harbor, train and aid terrorists.

Did you even read the article?

Or if you actually use them. So far I'm seeing usatoday and cbc (who by the way has a "no mention of terrorist" policy for their news).

I think the link of saddam and al qaida has more than been substantiated:
