you need to edit the Basic WP like meta widget.
Hello world post and few more like Main menu at header would look cool in black colour image as background.

 

The site looks nice but I think there is too much negative space in the header, you
should add more graphics to the header.

Everything is okay on my end - I'd be hesitant on flooding it with ads at the moment - slowly introduce ads after you start to receive repeat readers, ads and new visitors do not mix.

Lastly, get some good jokes on there!!

 

I like the site, joke's are good, i bookmarked it. I would fill in the header a bit more though.
