One affiliate I really like has got data feeds for all their items (most under $10), but I can't for the life of me think how they could be used, as to buy an item the user still has to visit the seller's site and select items one at a time, or hop back and forwards between the two locations. I'd love to be able to present a themed Xmas pack, for instance, and one click puts them all in the merchant's basket. So, what use are data feeds? What interesting applications do people here make from them? Barring mining for keywords to me they seem pretty useless for low-value items.
Go check out Popshops.com and see what you can do with datafeeds. I have my electronics datafeed over there and it allows people to make stores on the go with other people's products. See if you might be able to do something there.
Ahhh, I see! Thanks, that use makes perfect sense, and definitely an idea I could go with. I see they support my favourite affiliate, so I could easily build my own ad rotater through them If you've got an AFF code, please PM me and I'll sign up under you!
Go check out price comparison sites. The use of datafeeds is good for these type of sites as they can quickly grab and update their products data by inserting the updated data into their databases and then their visitors can use the site to compare that data with other merchants data.
