    Advertising (learn more)

Advertise virtually anything here, with CPM banner ads, CPM email ads and CPC contextual links. You can target relevant areas of the site and show ads based on geographical location of the user if you wish.

Starts at just $1 per CPM or $0.10 per CPC.

What can you do to assure that your adsense account won't be banned?

And don't forget that according to some Google doesn't need/want our help. I'm sure when they wrote "If you believe a site showing ads is in violation of these policies, please let us know " they were just confused as to what they actually wanted:rolleyes:

I see no problem in people reporting sites that they believe are in violation of the TOS. In fact it's the responsible thing to do.
But do they all really need to come here and post a thread about it.

All those things are pretty obvious if you just use common sense

Of course it's our business to report sites that violate TOS. When sites like that generate invalid or low-conversion clicks for advertisers, that brings their confidence in AdWords (and what they're willing to pay per click) down, impacting those of us that use AdSense legitimately. It is, in fact, very much our *business* to report these sites, as they indirectly hurt our earnings.

No one really needs to post anything in forums:)

I would bet that it's a very small % of sites that actually get a thread started about them. Also, I think some of threads could serve as an educational tool to potential advertisers - "here's what not to do if you value your account."

Are you implying that Adwords users get "the benefit of the doubt" and non- Adwords users do not?

They say don't change the adsense code but I recently changed the colour of my ad links (a liitle) site-wide with a seach and replace because I couldn't be bothered going and generating the code from adsense page.

Surely that can't be a problem?

As long as the code is the same as what you can produce with their formatting page, there is no problem. ie: if you want to change the background color etc.

I'm pretty sure that's what he was saying...just went in and changed the color code...didn't change the actual adsense code. That's fine.

yeah. after a major panic and going a regenerating the code which was exactly the same, I'm sure (know) they cant tell if "0000ff" was generated by them or me.

If I get any problems I'll be the first to eat my hat.
