What can we do to get intelligent people in power

I still think there are too many unintelligent people on earth. Especially in positions of power. It seems smart people don't always get to where they need to be in society to ensure the advancement of that society. What suggestion do you have to get smarter people in positions where they can make an impact.

 

Elect more women and less men.
