Hi all, I've been designing here for quite sometime, making some additional cash. I've decided to maybe try and invest some of my earnings into something that's profitable, to generate more. Was just wondering what I can do with $500-$600 that would guarantee a profit. No ebook stuff and scams please, no survey stuff. Firstly, the skills I do have I basically know quite alot about design being a freelance graphic designer for quite sometime now, but because i'm still schooling, I cannot afford the time on a regular basis. I need something that can help me generate cash and isn't too time consuming (I can afford 1-2 hours a day) I'm willing to workhard to start something up first, but I can't be spending too much time for long. I have some other skills but I don't believe they are as valuable online as this one. Things I completely have no clue about: 1. Affliate Marketing (though I'm interested, i have no idea how to start and where to start) 2. I know nothing about buying a domain and hosting it (though this probably is a small issue) Suggestions? I'm open to investments that aren't in the graphic niche at all too, any ideas?
I believe site flipping will be ideal for you Buy few domain names (Piece of cake) Get a Hosting (Piece of cake) Install worpress (Piece of cake) Throw in few articles (the more the better) by hiring writers (Piece of cake) Build up Backlinks Which will build up PR and small income Sell them and make a profit Cheers
Thanks for the suggestion fireurimagination, i may consider it. I'm thinking that these may be time consuming, but on the other hand, may work quite well. More suggestions please! May not have to deal with internet stuff as well. I'm open to anything.
Play it to your strength, if you love designing and can do a great job at it why don't you buy an already established site (at least thats getting good traffic) and then share your designs or do some designing work. In the long run, your site will worth a lot more than before and can gain a lot more profit from there.
Wptheme, nice idea there, may actually work to my advantage and probably may be able to earn from some ads as well if there's enough ready traffic coming in. Thanks. Keep suggestions coming
I might 'borrow' this idea too I think. The question is, where are the best places to sell your sites? And how much, on average, could you expect to receive for a basic site ....let's say, that has maybe 100 unique visitors per day and a page rank of 3, and 30 unique articles?
The best way,is buying already earning site at DP. After that, you just optimize the site for earning more income. Then resell it in future.
Think about establishing a forum for web developers. It's like two rabbits got with one shot, you will grow your skills and in the same time earn some profits, from ads, for example. I have some nice forum names if you are about to go the forum way.
if you want a trick to flip fast content go to like www.google.fr and then traslate the content into english 99% of the time you will get fresh unique content.
I second this. You can also look at mutual funds or growth funds and depending on your risk-appetite, you can even look at the bulls and bear market. If you are conservative, go for gold coins or bonds / bank deposits.
true i guess india is alot cheaper to invest then the uk, if i walked into my bank with 300 pound and wanted bonds i dont think i would get very far.
I'm actually quite interested in these kind of investing, that someday would guarantee some returns instead of me making a loss with something I'm completely unfamiliar with. I don't think where I live would get my far unless I save up some more, but it'd go to something more worthwhile i reckon. Thanks for the suggestion. I'll consider flipping sites once I've properly read up whatever I need to know, not going to jump in with 500 completely noobish at it. lol. Thanks, that's what my dad would say, but i'm not willing to risk my cash yet in stocks.
An Idea: Actually I do have more than $500 cash, but I was only willing to let go of 500 to invest. What do you guys think of playing with exchange rates, buying and selling money when the rates are good? (not forex) I don't need very fast cash, something worth the returns in the long run as well. Let me know what you think Cheers
