I am new to the whole PR thing but I see a lot of people always talking about it.
    My site http://www.smartmindmedia.com went from a 0 to a 5
So what changes can I expect from this?

None. But the green on the toolbar is nice eye candy. The pagerank is already factored into your SERPs. Supposedly it is easier now for you to arrange link exchanges.

Congrats on the five by the way.

Not much. This is just a visible PR change. So your PR has been climbing to 5 for a while now, you just haven't been able to see it.

Google only updates visible PR once every few months so that webmasters don't sit around tweaking their sites while staring at their PR bars to see if there was a change.

I understand so what your saying is yesterday when my page appeared to be a 0 it was actually a 5.

    Thanks

You got a 5 without even trying, congrats. I finally got a 5, but it took awhile to get here.

Well first off I would like to tell you that it is very fortunate for you that you got a high pr that fast. You can do a lot with pr. First off you can begin selling text links. You can offer life time directory submissions. You should also be getting good traffic. You will also find that link exchanges are now easier due to your high pr. And you also gain the respect of fellow webmasters by having high pr.

Do you still see the PR5 in your Google toolbar when you open your website?

I just opened your site in my browser and it showed 0.

I hear so many ppl saying PR is not that important...

They are right... in part. Having a high PR on a highly SEO'd page will get you much more exposure than the same page with only a PR0.

    The feeling of satisfaction.

That's usually good enough for me :)
