Hey guys. Anyone have any insight on what i can do to better present myself for YPN? I am a us resident. and have about 50 .com domains (GOOD DOMAINS!) that I would like to try YPN with.. i submitted my app.. but havent heard anything back. I'm not really sure why they would decline me.. but from what i hear its been a real hit/miss kind of thing. What do they look for do you know? with the large number of domains.. and sites that i own. I need to know what i can do to best present myself. but its hard to do that if i dont know what they are looking for. any insight from people that have been accepted? Eastwood.
Hey thats my case too... I applied on August 4th and then again on August 8th for another domain... no response from them yet.... their FAQ says that it takes upto 14 business days to get a reply.. lets wait....
Dont bother.. Unless your sites happen to be in one of the 3 niche's that Yahoo has ads for, it will just be a waste of space on your pages.. Try Adsense or Kontera instead..
in the past this was true, but with their recent addition of their version of "smart pricing", the ads (mine at least) have about the same ePC ad Adsense.. BUT Even if they paid $100 per click it almost would not matter because YPN seems totally incapable of delivering a contextually-targeted ad more than 3 times in a row... untargeted ads = no clicks..
They'll probably accept you, but from what I hear, it takes atleast 1 - 2 weeks to get accepted by them, unless you have an invite.
I submitted my app a year ago. I never heard anything from them and I've a high traffic 9 yrs old site.
I applied to YPN 2 years ago. They replied to me almost within a week with a positive response. Now, perhaps, the volume of applications has increased dramatically and they are not capable of replying in a timely manner, or as Tearabite said, they just not capable of delivering quality contextual ads for different niche websites.
YPN works for me for only ONE niche. Every other site of mine that's not in that niche uses Adsense. Even that one niche is sensitive to laser-sharp content to stay on focus.
