Tempting as it is, why do you have to go after this idiot at all? For all you know it was a few girls doing their MySpace thing, having a laugh together who, in a moment of madness, signed up everyone they had the email addresses for, to a couple of smut sites. No big deal and no real harm done ... yet. You might find that someone else 'did the deed' while using a friend's computer and without their knowledge or consent. There are a dozen scenarios where a lack of malice or a simple sense of fun could have ended up with your email address being added to a few choice lists. Doesn't really warrant going after the IP with DDOS, especially when the only people you will really piss off are the 'culprit's' Internet Service Provider and they will come after you.
well.. because of this 'laugh' i get 3 spam mails every day now (and i tried to keep my mailbox spam-free for over 1 year now i really watch out with signups and such..), i got trouble with my mom because of that porno magazine they sent to my home, and i really think it's annoying to get free porn in my mail each day.. i don't want to hack his computer or do something illegal where i can get in trouble with, i only want to know his email address (then i know his name too), ask one of my friends to get his home address and do everything he did only ten times worse... and i do know what a proxy is and i have more knowledge about internet than he does so i could send him some free porn magazines at home, i got this nice email bomber.. and i can hack someones msn with a small trick.. so i got plenty of things to do to have my own 'laugh'
I'm sure you do. It just seems to be a waste of time and effort, imho; time and effort you could be putting to better use trying to make some money online. The ultimate revenge would be waving to people from your nice new mercedes or porsche as you cruised around town with the money you made on the internet.
Why not just turn this thread into hacking tutorial, giving links to all the tools/trojans as well as step by step instructions on how to kill other people's machines. No wonder people complain about the increasing number of script kiddies, going around defacing websites for fun.
You have his IP; you jave a lot of options to look at now. However, I still want to see him lost his two front teeth though.
PoD rarely works these days, most systems don't run 9X anymore and the ones that do are normally patched.
"script kiddies" are generally harmless and are rarely able to do any real damage outside of a minor annoyance, its the structured threats that you have to worry about.
