someone hates me. i don't know who it is, i don't have enemies (as far as i know..) and i don't hate anyone... now this guy (doesn't know anything about internet) ordered a free porn magazine on my adress (my mom liked that ) for 4 months! he registered me to usavis.org, dating.nl and teensbm.com (porn site). Luckely he doesn't know all these services require email verification (exept the porn magazine) so i could cancel them and he doesn't know his ip-adres was added in all 3 mails. So i got his ip i want to pay him back. HARD! I know he's from nijmegen, netherlands (that's where i live too), i did an ip-whois search someone got an idea how i can pay this guy back? thanks
What the heck does that mean? @Sednax: You could report him to the police for attemt to defraud you since he attempted to get you to pay for these subscriptions. I really don't know what the possibilities are legally but who knows. Oh, edit here, i see it was free then go for slander....dat is smaad in nederlands.
smaad wat is dat nou weer?? well mighty maybe you're right and haxor him dead maybe that's better?? it's 1337 (leet)
Reporting his IP to his ISP is pretty much all you can do, unless you want to contact the police and file a complaint. They could subpeona (if they do that in your country) the ISP and get his contact info and you maybe can press charges.
I don't know if this can be used for information that you don't want to get passed on to your relatives but if someone would make something public that would place you in a situation that impact your everyday life then he is liable for slander. It's something that just came up and is probably far fetched...forget about it Dat zal wel niet opgaan denk ik. Wel als ie naar de buitenwereld toe jouw in verband met zaken zal brengen die jouw in een vervelende positie kunnen brengen.
Try his IP address for several ports like :80 to see if he has Apache installed. Then do a free security consultation, there are numerous ways people leave their setups unprotected. I'm not advising you should do anything against the law but hey, who wouldn't want free security consultation? You can also sting him by putting up posters in Nijmegen stating that IP address 123.456.wahtever his is has won a special internet lottery. And that he can collect his price there and there. Shawn can fill you in on effective stabbing methods for when you meet the guy. Veel success!
Only works if the IP isn't dynamic and doesn't belong to public access internet points. You have to be certain the IP is static.
In email headers ip address is not quite right most of the time some proxies are involved. So be sure before beating that guy
The whole "I got your IP now I am going to hack you thing is overrated, and never really works". I was pretty good with this stuff when I did it like 2 years ago. Unless the guy is a complete idiot and doesnt have a firewall or anything on his computer, and you can get a trojan on his computer... the IP is good for nothing except a location. Not to mention there is this thing called a proxy lol... Oh well...
well this guy IS a moron.. i bet he never heard of a proxy, he may have a firewall and virus scanner, but that's it i know this because everyone i know is a moron in internet and computers
A proxy is pretty much a mask for your IP. I could make it seem as if I was in Germany if I needed to. Also, if you were to do something of this type, you can get into some serious trouble for it. I almost got caught working my way into my schools online grading system .
That really depends on what you know. Anyway, to SedN: Turning him into his ISP is probably the most useless thing you can do.
Well, I won't tell you how to do it but here is an article I wrote on some of the methods out there. http://www.computernetworkinghelp.com/content/view/29/1/
