What can I do with 10k/mo porn traffic? need advice.

I may have an opportunity to purchase a porn domain that has some
serious traffic, and 1000's of backlinks, over 10,000 I think...

my problem is that I am not really interested in setting up a porn
site, but more along the lines of some social outlet, not porn

I cant help to think also, when people click on this domain, they are
probably expecting some hot chick's ass...not some lame duck social network...

what do you guys think?

not really too interested...I have no exp in adult websites...I do not mind setting
up some type of adult social network, but I am not interested 100% porn.

I guess I could turn it into a porn site if I found a partner that knows something about operating porn sites.

 

You should not change the entire website, if you do that, then all the traffic will drop to 0. Google must have indexed the site very well so i think you should just try to sell some adult products as an affiliate or try CPM based adult ad networks, they usually pay high. Just try it for a month or so and see how it goes for you.

thats an idea, rather then rushing off to change it, why not setup
some adult affiliate products and see what happens. I know the site
at one time hit 10k visits per month, since the site is not active
at this time, i am not sure what it is doing now, but it still has
backlinks everywhere, it has not been done for long.

 

You'll be disappointed. Adult doesn't convert well at all anymore.

 

If the site is getting targeted traffic then I would suggest your site be targeted towards that traffic that it is getting. Most of us work online to make money so take advantage of this opportunity and get you a site set up that will make you some money from the traffic that the site is getting.

That is a very good answer! Although making an adult site isn't your thing, this is the thing people are looking for in regards to your traffic.

Either sell the domain on to someone or provide a site that your traffic is serching for.

 

You could monetize using the CPALead adult network (forget what its called now). That would pay well, I guess if you used it well.

Problem is in the adult field, folks can get almost everything for free these days..

yeah either offer some ads on the site or link it to your other site.. if you don't want to set up an adult website then you can probably do car, electronic stuff and etc. that guys like.. good luck!

 

I'm doing adult websites for many years, but 10k/month is not much traffic, it's ~ 300 visitors per day. Most adult paysites convert around 1:500-1:1500 (ratio), but those numbers highly depend on the niche, type of site etc. You can PM me your url and will take a look if you would like.

 

I totally agree, check which keywords are bringing this huge traffic and think of a web surfer searching these keywords what is he/she looking for?

 

Ive always stayed away from porn although it is very profitable... I want to sleep at night knowing I'm not dirtying the world.

 

I think try to sell those pervs CPA offers about growing their d*cks. It must work. Look at those affiliates advertising on big p*rn sites. You must test a lot and use flogs to try to convert it. Also depends of country of origin of your visitors too.
