hi everyone, there is the thing,we start a new b2c website this month(So far, we mainly sells women's clothing, etc). Now, we plan to promote our website via giving away free products to customers.We will choose one product, every day 20 or more limited, given away free. so ,what do you guys think ?that will work well? and , my question is ,what can we do to spread the news? how can we Let more people know? waiting for your guys good advice !!!
i think try to make your site on web 2.0 concept like forum & blog submission. User involvement or User generated content is good for site promotion.
Do you have a fan page? This is a good way to do your promotions. You could invite people to like your page and give some freebies. Or create a sort of game...

if you think long term you may be doing more damage than good.. for instant. In Australia the daily deal sites are going well for the consumer but not so for the business as its promoting people that want free things not paid thing. beter to do discounts rather than free or something like you pay X amount and get X amount back when you do 2nd order.
make some virial videos e.g. put some clothes on a pet also ask whoever wins the cloths to take a short video or pictures while wearing them. you could look into geo location based deals I guess .e.g if somebody passes close to your store ping him/her. Good luck
Get a GREAT domain name with type in traffic. With a little SEO you would get on page one of GOOGLE. While many .coms are taken, .net is your best bet.
