Well my forum is for young webmasters and entrepreneurs. Anyone have any ideas on how to promote it? Its a great site and has potential. Its not 100 percent complete yet either. http://www.kidsofecom.com
You're already doing it. Post on related forums. Here's an idea, start making quality posts yourself. Then visit forums like this. When you see a topic that relates to YOUR post on YOUR forum, make a quality post by giving some quality feedback and refer them to the post on YOUR forum for a more informative answer. Post something like this: ----------------your sample post---------------------------------- "That's an interesting point, bla bla bla. This is what I would do in your situation...bla bla bla. In fact this reminds me of a similar situation I came across in bla bla bla...Here is a better answer or solution to your question...visit (your forum blog post url). I think this may be along the lines of what you are looking for." -------------end sample post-------------------------------------- Encourage people to visit. If you have a quality forum people will return.
Definitely make quality posts on your own forum. If you aren't interested in it enough to take the time to post, no one else will.
Another great way to kick start your forum is to hire posters to kick start the forum. Nothing attracts posters like other posters. Go to the BST/content forum here to find posters. complete it first before you promote it. people don't like under construction kind of sites. it is waste of time too promoting unfinished site.
