What Can I do to Market my Blog Posts?

Most of the traffic coming into my site is from social networking and social bookmarking sites such as Reddit, StumbleUpon, Delicious, Digg, DesignBump, etc... However I am looking for other areas to gain traffic. What are some good ways for me to promote my blog posts or where I can submit my posts to gain some more traffic? Open to any and all ideas

put your link to upper PR by commenting at their sites and........this one need to do manual..

 

The best thing you can do it to backlink each post you do..minimum of 10 backlinks per post and if you did your keyword research correctly then you should rank very high for your posts and get tons of free organic traffic!..good luck

 

Promote your blog on 1 (or 15) Squidoo lenses; I think that Squidoo is even better than article directories to bring in traffic. Combine both methods if you can.

 

Well first off let me congratulate you on the great site and I don't say that often on these forums but you have created not only a nice looking blog but more importantly a very interesting one to read (I can only assume you are talking about insidethewebb). I don't think backlinks of any sort are necessarily going to help you here since you want traffic and search engines queries for the sort of terms you are targeting will likely (a slight guess I admit) be low.

Instead you need to go where the traffic already is and hijack it somehow (but in a nice way). This was the first time I had heard of your blog but I read a lot of other blogs and so do many other webmasters and entrepreneurs who are interested in the kind of interviews you are conducting. So find these other blogs and try to make a connection with their readers along with the blog owners of course. A single mention in a post by one of these top bloggers would undoubtedly bring you hundreds or even thousands of new highly targeted users and given the quality of your site I would guess you'd get quite a few bookmarks out of it and these bookmarks are the way to the large scale traffic. As an example I read shoemoney's blog daily but didn't find it through a search engine or a social media site, I followed a link on some other blog and liked his content so much I immediately bookmarked the site.

The same is true about a lot of the blogs I regularly read.

 

Blogs are really hard to market since there are so many. Being able to get a free blog from wordpress and such makes it real easy for anybody to start a blog.

Idea is simple, have great content. Thats the key. Then build links on related websites. And join some community on the same niche.

Maybe u can do video marketing to gain traffic

 

I have heard that posting comments on other people's blogs really makes a difference. I haven't tried it myself so i would't know.

 

Well go to a forum within your niche and get a signature.

Then make a lot pf post.

Content must be top notch

 

Some forums in some niches don't allow links in signatures. an example is weight-loss.fitness.com

 

I have a link to my blog in all of my forum sigs, so that's definitely not a problem. I just need to find more forums to join and post in so I can gain a bit more traffic from those. However I do a LOT of blog commenting, so I'm not even close to worried about that.
