Hello all I see a lot of people having this indexing problem but couldn't find a particular advice to help me resolve it so I decided to post 1 myself. There's the thing - I have created this website www.skills-4-success.com maybe more than 5 months ago. I have quite a few links from other websites pointing to it (some of them with a very good PR). I have put the meta tags and everything but it;s been quite a long time since I have only the main page indexed by google. I also have the normal text links to the other pages (although not all of them) and really have no idea why G would not index them alongside with the main page. I have also made a ror.xml file and uploaded it to google sitemaps today but that did not change anything. I would be very greatful if someone could have a look and give me some hints as of what has to be done to get all my pages there. Oh, one more thing - google doesn't find any links pointing to the site and as I said there are quite a few by now. I would really appreciate any advice cause I'm running out of ideas
This link will go a long way for you: http://scribbling.net/help_the_googlebot_understand_your_web_site read it & implement it carefully. all the best
Yes I thought there will be such reply sooner or later but this is not it - maybe you have missed the table above the links link (including the links link I have in that table say half of the important pages but it doesn't make any difference. Actually if you have a look I have some of the links on the first sentence of the page! Or is there something wrong with my links?
Double check whether you have a robots.txt file. Many people forget that they put it there a while ago banning all engines from descending into the site
maybe the big G don't like the text below where you have "Links"? near the bottom just below the 2 tables, as it does not show in a browser without highlighting, it it looks hidden, as does the text in the left below "download info pack"
No- the text also could not be the reason cause I have only put that recently hoping that google may think my content's better - I have never had that before. And also it can't be a robots.txt banning all engines - I don't have such a file. All that google thing starts to look like a big mistery. Maybe I could try to get this in the next Harry Potter movie
