This site has been up since March, has PR4. It's performing well in MSN, but not in google. Looking for a review on speed, design and anything else you can tell me.

    Thanks :)

The descrption and keyword meta tags are kind of messed up but I don't know if that would affect your Google performance at all.

As for speed, it loads up fine for me. Only improvement there would be to turn it to pure css.

The design isn't too appealing to me. I don't like the purple

speed is ok here.. but the design, indeed not too appealing. it tends to look dull, maybe because of the colors used. and it is too crowded to the left..

The design isn't bad... but it looks a bit dated since it is very graphic-heavy. Even lots of the words are written as graphics -- why? It would look more modern if you just used stylized/CSS-ized text (not GIF's) as headers, and you could probably get a SERP boost as well... for example, if you just spelled out "Search Properties for Sale in Gauteng" instead of having it as GIF, you'd get the SEO benefit for those words.

    Just my opinion...

    It's not pretty :(

You need to jazz it up a bit. I don't like the mixtures of the colours, the light purple looks kinda of wierd against the dark blue header colours. I would take one look and click the [x] ..It needs to have some va va voom.

There's also a big white space at the bottom...if you designed your page better you could fill that space, yet not make it appear crowded. Maybe with a few more photo's or something.

But meh, what do I know.

As many have said, change the image headings to text or at least provide alt texts for them.

You should ideally only have one h1 heading on any page, make the other h2 even if you make them look the same.

Make the texts between the headings paragraphs ( <p> ), that way they will get a little whitespace around them and make the page more pleasing.

I don't like the borders, remove them or make them single pixel.

Try to reduce the number of colors, three or four should be enough for most of your texts and backgrounds.
