I have a new site that I've place adsense on, but it's only showing the 'hurricane katrina' ad...should I simply wait for google to index the site more properly (currently only a few pages have been indexed) or is there anyway to help/speed up the process?
I dont think itd be the index as its supposedly a different spider, the problem is probally with the keywords on your site.
Simply add more content and keywords, and once the Google spider crawls your site again you'll never see another PSA again.
Thanks Does it matter *where* in relation to the ad I place the adsense ad? I'm using it on a blog and have added it to a sidebar (which is in it's own php file) and the sidebar itself has little content in it...will it make a difference if I ad some text in the actual sidebar?
How new is new? If it was only up a day ago, it still might take some time for ads to show up. Otherwise, you might have to add more content to your site
Yeah it's pretty new...I guess I'll just keep adding content and it will eventually sort itself out. Thanks for the help
up until last week, my site still periodically showed these Katrina ads, but now it seems to have chosen enough relavent ads to not show them anymore. I am learning that adsense just takes time.
i think you sould wait bit more. or try to put some content. it happned to me one of my site when i put add, it show public add for couple of hours. once i put more content, after couple of hours i got the add. good luck
