What Can I Do From My Desk?

I'm looking for ideas for creating additional income while I work. It's a closed office, so I can listen to podcasts/online radio all day :)

I'm open to anything, and it could be small things like utilizing pay-to-listen programs like 'slicethepie' to larger-scaled tasks.

    Thanks in advance!

Valiant effort, unfortunately I doubt anyone would pay to watch me twerk this pale, harry arse.

Also, I should have mentioned my office is not my own home office, its a work office for my.corporate job. So I think web cams are not a good idea ;)

What I'm doing is paid surveys. I sign up and all surveys are sent to my inbox.
At work, I'll just complete the surveys and make some cash. I do it daily.

How much time do you devote to this? During a job I mean. Just out of curiosity.

For additional income perhaps writing service?

You could also try some of the microjob sites like Mechanical Turk, or offer small tasks on Fivver. Doesn't pay a lot, but those pennies do add up...

    What skills do you have?

An easy way to start making a small side become is freelance article writing, can turn into quite a nice business if you land a couple good clients

    Great responses everyone.

Content creation is difficult, as my job requires multitasking, so perhaps the microjobs may be more efficient. As well, surveys/PTC would be another viable option.

    getkash1 - appreciate your reviews.

Keep them coming! I'll need to test these out and report back.

PTC is only a good way to earn if you're high up in the pyramid. Like have a good quantity of referrals or own a PTC website. But that's just an observation from my own experience in the PTC scene.

Maybe just check out CL or something. If your idea of making money is paid to listen programs then I don't think any of these ideas will interest you.

You're correct, I was looking more for pay-to-listen ideas, but I wouldn't count out anything else.

As it's pretty obvious, I'm not expecting to earn hundreds, get rich quick, etc. Rather, I just want to try and build a couple small streams, even if it's a $1-5/day, I'd be content.

@Lex350 - what strategy should I use for CL?

You seem to know how to write, I'd suggest doing some freelance. I work in an office as a Network Admin, and I usually have about 7 hours to do whatever I want at my desk, so I write daily. Just go to the Content Creation forum and try to find some clients, you might have to start out small ($1 per 100 words or so, but you said you'd be content with $5/day). Eventually you'll be able to earn more per word. Right now I can make anywhere from $20 - $150 in a single day while I'm at work, not counting my hourly wages.

    Hi WalletMentor,

That is great to have a closed door office.
    Let's see ...

Design Logo - How about designing Logos and Sell them Online
Create Micro Niche Sites - How about selling MNS or building them for self-profits
Mining - How about mining some Coins

I'll input more when I thought of it,

@swordude - thanks for the suggestions,

@Commoner - never thought about logo design, I have taken some classes in graphic design, so I am familiar with CS/Xara Designer... I guess I can sketch/brainstorm during work hours, then when I get lunchbreak/freetime I can really finish the projects. Do you have any experience mining/crypto?

    Hi WalletMentor,

Your course does complements with Logo design :) Do try to design, assure you that many may remunerate you but please do not get attached/sign-on any contracts. My advice is being a Freelancer but the final decision is up to you.
I do have a little mining experience but mainly focuses on trading Currencies.

    Cheers,
    Commoner
