What can i do for local seo?

    i want to get better results at x country results , but they dont allow me to get the domain i want couse i m not resident of X.
    How can i add something for local ..?
    exp:
    thekeywordiwantX.com is good?
    or , better idea ?

    this will basicaly be a good idea. but I cant really help if you dont disclose the country.

    if you are targeting a local area then you should include the keyword+the geocraphical keyword.

    You could start by learning this is forum is to discuss about domain names, not about SEO that is widely discussed in the corresponding DP section.

    But what he's asking about is a part of domaining that is germane to SEO. This part of SEO kind requires domaining. And since the question is about domain acquisition, it seems fairly valid.

    The domain name doesn't play as big a part as it used to. Obviously it will help if you use, for example, CapeTownBikeShop.co.za but there are other areas search engines use to localize domains, such as the IP address of the hosting, the content of the pages, the contact details for the owner and to some extent the source of links coming into the site, say from local newpaper articles on their websites. And, as Helleborine says, google map/local listings are a good idea too, especially if locals with local IP addresses write reviews for you.
