What can get you banned here?????

I am still very new to this forum. I am always reading about someone getting banned from here. I read the basic rules, but want to be sure I remain in good standing.

Example: I read that someone sent someone a PM that had a link in it and they were banned, but I don't recall reading that in the rules.

What are some of the "No No's" that can get you banned?

 

Do not bump posts. You need to post informative things. Do not create similar threads. You need to behave politely do not use abusive language. Do not spam. Do not post copyrighted material. Do not send unnecessary PM's. Hope you got a good idea on what leads to a ban !

And are they for a period of time, or banns are permanent?

 

depends..... There are permanent bans as well...

 

It would be quicker to make a list of things that can't get you banned.
I've been banned only once and it was for my choice of avatar. Not a word of a lie.

 

treat folks the way you want to be treated, and use some common sense, and you'll be a-ok.

You don't need to be as long as you don't spam, scam, or generally cause trouble.

 

Read the rules, FAQs, and all stickies and announcements to avoid being banned. Specifically read those in the Buy/
sell/trade areas and the suggestions & feedback forum.
