This has been addressed on hundreds of occasions. Mods do not get involved in transactions. You are responsible for your own dealings. Be sure who you are dealing with before doing and transactions. It is quite easy to search through their posting habits, iTraders, and reps. If something sounds too good to be true, it is. DP is full of scammers, you just have to be on guard so you don't get burned.
Then can we make ourself a volunteer community to protect all other members from scammers? But we need DP admins to help us so they can ban them? Otherwise, what's the point of having a community to protect the community? We are all at risk here!
If someone is proved to be a scammer (like selling domains he doesn't own) he'll be banned, but thats my guess anyway!
"Do they ignore all situations, or do they ban scammers in here?" String them up by the balls and shoot them. If that fails then an instant ban should be issued. No questions asked. KP
Does not happen. I reprted someone who was selling a fake PR6 domain. He even admitted that he knew it was fake later when everyone called him on it. He was not banned! You are on your own when dealings on DP.
We simply WILL NOT GET INVOLVED! We don't have the resources or desire to do this. If you can't handle it, don't do business here!
Most of the time, the scams are just impossible to prove. Almost all "proofs" can be faked. It's almost impossible for us to be able to tell who is telling the truth. And we can't ban someone just because someone else says they are a scammer. Do you know how often the word "scammer" gets thrown around in this place? This forum has a few features that can help make the place "self-policing". If you do a deal in BST with someone and it goes bad, by all means, please leave them a negative iTrader. That is what they are there for, and the system doesn't work if you don't use it. If you didn't do a deal with them but you know they are a scammer, give them red reps... If everyone knows that they are a scammer, and everyone is giving them red reps, then their good reputation will be gone soon enough, and then (hopefully) others will think twice before dealing with them. But most importantly, be careful who you deal with. Be smart and protect yourself from getting scammed. Do some research on the person before you make a deal with them. Instead of expecting the mods/admins to protect you, you need to learn to protect yourself.
