Hello, i have a website that was built in 2005. It had the 1st position on 1st google page, on my main keyword ( animação de eventos ). The website is in Portuguese and we are talking about google.pt Recently, new websites shown up and my website started to get down, until getting the google pt 2nd page. This websites almost don´t have any content, some of them have also not finished parts, and i ued several seo check up tools to test mine and those competitors. They all give a much more positive evaluation, however they are above me. This just happened when i updaated joomla 1.0 to joomla 2.5 I don´t know what to do. Please give some opinions. Are you sure it doesnt have to do with a Google update? http://moz.com/google-algorithm-change around August 20th? What did the update to Joomla 2.5 change on your site? Has your backlink profile changed drastically at the same time?
I have also notices a dramatic drop in my keywords ranking and in Google search query impressions after 20th Aug 2013. See the snapshot below. I researched lots on internet and found that some thing happened in between 20th to 23rd on Google. May be it was "ranking algorithm change" or "a penalty" or "user interface change" I am not sure. Still searching but didn't found any confirmation from Google end. Naveen
New Version is updated after Google new penguin update so please check new version may be little bit helpful.

Really i think my backlink didn´t change. Anyway, after all this opinions, what would you guys do in my position ? And by the way, i don´t know if you saw the competitor websites i mentioned but in what matters to seo checkup, they are miserable; or it´s my website that is a shame. Please take a look on it and tell me if i´m wrong
Hi. I write through the translator. At you on a site music plays is very badly affects average time which your visitors spend on a site. In Russian Google is 100% would be the falling reason. I think to you difficult to read my text, but try to catch thought - you won't be able to please with music to all visitors - disconnect it, don't irritate them =)
You are right, i understand what you mean, and i agree. To be honest i didn´t have time to correct that, but i will. Anyway, i´m not sure that has something to do with the falling google rank. Many thanks for your opinion. I will fix that.
The website wasn´t built by me and at the beginning, at that time i didn´t know even anything about websites. Later i studied and transformed my website in joomla. The first html version had very good head with a fine logo and a swf file. I kept it always, but this swf always had a problem. It loads not only on the homepage but it restarts everytime we change page, and that´s annoying. I would like to make load just on the homepage. and for example, if someone switch the music off, it remains off, even if we change page, not restarting everytime. Can someone tell me how to fix this issue?
Here's the major issue - I don't really see much updated content. It's very difficult to find if it is there. How often do you create new information and new pages?
