    Hi there:

I was trying to setup a website that is service based. I think the best way is a sole proprietorship but I don't want to be liable for everything in an event that I become sued. I was thinking of an LLC but I don't want to have investors and all that just yet.

I hope someone can help me because I honest have NO IDEA what I am doing in this field of business startup.

If you have a legitimate company, and you are careful, you probably won't get sued. Just make sure that you don't do something stupid, like offend some other organization. Just avoid mentioning other companies in a negative way. And if someone does threaten to sue you, unless you take down certain content on your site, then take it down, that way you shouldn't have a problem. Also what type of business are you planning on doing? Or do you not know yet?

    Thanks,
    Kyle
