I saw in news some guys in Bangladesh/India arrested for doing web business and they where dealing with warez/sex etc.. They where just promoting as webmaster they where not creating those.. My question to fellow Indian And Bangladeshi who are doing web business or have web development firm or doing it individually is What sort of Trade License give permission to do web business in Bangladesh or India (i am born and brought up in 2 different places) Do you need export License? Do you need to be member of some organization like BASIS in bangladesh to prove to govt you are legal and not earning by unfair mean What is allowed in web business from Bangladesh India What is bangladesh India policy about warez or adult web business. I dont know the policy of India. But from Bangladesh so far I have not heard any government rule or license requirements. What happening in Bangladesh that you have heard may be the case of arresting those people who are doing VOIP business . Its illegal in Bangladesh . As those people have no legal permission /license to do this. They are causing serious loss of government revenue. Government now took policy to give the VOIP etc to private company. Four companies have won the bid yesterday may be. BASIS is the organization of business man who are in Software business. They can give any permission etc Running software/web development business from Bangladesh you do not need any permission . If you set up an office taking a trade license from City corporation is enough. Government highly encourage any legal activities to earn foreign currency . You know its least developed country At certain stage if you need to send money abroad through Bank etc then if you take permission from concerned government office it will make things easier for you . Running adult business website from Bangladesh I think you cant do . If you say run a porn site yourself from home , your content is coming from outside world and your market it only outside Bangladesh I think no one can trace you right. But developing adult content , marketing it here - its not possible.
