What brand of RAM do you use?

    Hynix 512 and transcend 1GB

    I don think its a ram problem either mate. I m pretty sure its monitor thats acting up and the timing was pure coincidence !

    i use a 1gb kingston DDR II...am thinking of adding another 1gb ram :D

    hmm, it occurs occasionally.. 3 to 4 times per day..
    When I restrart from shutdown/sleep, problem gets solved.

    Try take out the new RAM first and see if the problem still happen or not.

    Haven't checked the brand of my RAM but its came with HP pc so must be some good company RAM and it is quite good while playing games than my previous PC.
