What blogging feature would make you switch your blog platform?

    Hello everyone,

I recently launched a social network for bloggers and I'm constantly on the look out for new features to add. I need your advice for something!

If there was one feature that would convince you to switch, or start a new blog on a specific platform, what would it be? It there a feature you really wish you had but don't?

    Thanks for your feedback,
    Marc

Extensive plugins support. New updates every now and then. Help fighting spams. I think this will do, but it is not an easy task.

marcvb - this is an excellent question, thank you for asking it. After thinking about it for a little while, this is what I have come up with.

I have several self hosted wordpress blogs. Wordpress offers everything that I could need or want in a blogging platform. The one thing that would make me switch platforms it security. Wordpress offers pretty much everything that I need. But, if the security of wordpress started to go downhill, I would switch - and real fast.

Awhile back I used another CMS for one of my sites. The developers had a very relaxed attitude about security. And because of this I left that platform and tried several others. When I found wordpress, I know I had finally found what I was looking for.

Even though I really like wordpress, my standards for security still stand. If the wordpress developers decide that security should be an after thought, or a secondary consideration, I will find something else.

    Hey guy,

Thanks for your feedback! May I ask... what type of security do you find that Word Press lacks?
I am very interested in knowing more about this security issue.

Also you guys mentioned plug-ins - What sort of plug-ins would you interest you?
Is there one missing that you really wish blog platforms like WordPress had?

    Thanks,
    Marc
