What better. PayPal or Google Merchant?

    Paypal is more popular, that's true, but if you are seller , i would be careful using paypal, a lot of people scammed me before ( not on this forum) they receive the item, than they do a chargeback.
    Google Merchant ? I don't think a lot of people use it though, you should use something that can process payments via cc.

    I'd say that paypal is better, google merchant don't seem to be accepted everywhere.

    Why not use both? Both are relatively easy to setup and tons of guides on the net to help set both up :)

    Paypal is popular, but have some of the crappiest policies on the planet. Google Checkout sends the money straight to your bank account from my experience...

    PayPal is more global. I can not even use Google merchant in Canada. Apparently our banks do not feel its secure enough. Their way of monopoly. lol

    Most of the people using Paypal from long time and trusted on it and google merchant is not yet so popular than paypal because google merchant is not working in all the countries. So Paypal is the best for now.

    I am not sure if Google Checkout is good or not but PayPal is the only way I accept payment online at the moment.

    I'm looking for the same sort of information. Has anyone actually used both and have something more to say than which one they prefer or is more popular? I can't speak for the OP, but popularity doesn't matter when you have a client saying they would like you to use the one you are unfamiliar with.
