    Hi Guyz,

I have created http://bidfortraffic.co.uk/ this bidding directory.

Most of the pages have cached of this.

    Right now Directory Submission (Paid/Unpaid)
    Search Engine Submission
    Link Building
Blog Posting of this is going on. But i am not ok with the look and feel of this as i am from creative industry too.

So I want suggestion to make these directory good..

    Thanks in advance.

I know you are talking about the design but I would go through your categories and add some high quality sites to start off.

Good luck with your new project!

It may help to get a unique template for your bidding directory. Also get links to your 'categories' if you want submissions to your bidding directory.

If you want a long term profitable project, I wouldn't run a bidding directory. Chances are you'll have your PR or even SERPs penalised from Google before long.

SERPs = search engine results pages. Meaning your ranking in Google.

Champ, any repectable directory owner would have a privacy policy where they do not offer their clients emails to any third party sources.

There may be a spam service ( send to 1 squillion emails for xyz type service ) but i doubt that would be targeted and a waste of time.

Instead of trying to run settle back and learn to walk.

Your best option is to target some ads on sources dealing with your market, i.e get a banner ad or sponsered link on other popular bid directories, banner / text ads in directory of directory sites, google text ads targeted ( look up the top you can run a banner here for example ), other ad agiencies / networks such as adbrite, announcements section here and other directory related forums and the list goes on.

You have good knowledge of CPC, PPC, CPM etc. i think. It's really good.

Well dude i also knows the way of advertising but it's just a simple Bidding Directory. I don't think if i will make a thousand dollar banner advertising campaign for it would make sense.

There are lot of ad agencies doing this whole work, Creation of Campaign and all and as per my knowledge POINTROLL is the USA based no. 1 advertising company which handle aprox. 60% of online ads of USA.

Anyway i am also aware about it that "respectable directory owner would have a privacy policy where they do not offer their clients emails to any third party sources."

But there are some webmasters and online marketing Guy who have just one technique of advertising or sale their work and that is Email Marketing.

What they do, they find the resource means they surf the website one by one for email id and they shoot them email and they get the response. But it's a totally SPAM that's why i was asking for the targeted resource. If someone have already done that marketing and get back the response. He/She must get a positive response list too so he/she can provide the exact email id of those advertiser who want to BID at any Bidding directory.

By the way for your kind information. There are some tools too in the market who can find the resource automatically.

    Thanks

100% agree with you :) all the bidding dirs looks exactly the same, default template without even a single change of colors, main logo, etc.

Sorry for the noob question mikey1090, but you say that Google do not like Bidding Directories at all? (I mean the bidding system itself is breaking Google's rules?)

Thank for you let me know, I was not aware about that google doesn't like the bidding directories at all. I thought that it's a simple link buying system and google should not be against of this because it's simple like add. Some one paying us for show their link at our website whether it's a bidding or simple directory.

Since the last pr update, I gained pagerank for my inner pages at my pr4 bidding directory. So the homepage is pr4, some innerpages have pr3. No penalty or what so ever, spend the money what's coming in for promotional exposure. People are paying you for a link on your site, so you have to make sure it's worth it.

It's good that you have PR4 directory. But we are also working on our website too. The Directory Submission, Search Submission, Link Building etc.

So when the PR will update we will also get the PR.

Yeah. Bidding for links is a great way to manipulate their system.
