What benefit is there to re-submitting your sitemap?

    I've heard that Google recommends that you re-submit like once a week or something.

    Does this provide good SEO benefit?

    Doesn't make sense to me. I have never done this and have achieved my targets in terms of SEO. Yes, updation helps and also resubmitting is alrite, but more than once a week is a little too much.
