Hello, my dear friends! I am from Russia. It is interesting to me, what is average price of an unique article consisting of 500 words?
That depends on the subject matter of the article, the writer you hire to write the article and what kind of quality you are looking for Don't listen to anyone who tells you that articles are always priced or generally priced at a certain amount. Find a writer whose work you like and ask them what they charge. Also, remember that the lower your budget, the lower the quality generally becomes (not always true, but usually a pretty good rule of thumb). Good luck!
snarke, from Х USD-dollars to XXX USD dollars? For example, in Russia copywriting from 2 $ to 10 $, rewriting-1-5$. This prices of an unique article consisting of 100 words. What is in USA interval ("from" - "to") ?
Well, a magazine might pay $500 - $1,000 for the article or $50 or nothing. Fees are all over the place. The depth is the first price consideration. How much detail is required? Is it a piece that requires a lot of research or tying together many reports? Will you need to interview and/or travel? From there you progress to quality (Why not quality first? Because the best writer in the world can write a fluff piece of crap, which is why depth is most important). What level of writing do you need? Do you need a professional writer (someone who can write for the NY Times, mid- to upper-level magazines, etc)? Or do you just need something that's somewhat readable (like filler for search engines)? On the lower end, you're looking at $5 for a 500-word article. On the upper end, about $1,000. I'll go out on a limb and infer that you're speaking about general low-level articles for search engines, simple sites and so forth. In that case, $5 - $50 is the range you'll most likely see. Going slightly higher up the ladder will extend that range to about $100ish.
Yeah, the average price is up to you...how much you are willing to spend. If you want quality you gotta pay for it.
I am interesting in text content for MFA-sites. If the standard price is around $5 on DP, it is surprisingly because in Russia I wrote articles (made rewrite) for $6 for 100 words. Thus I am not professional copywriter and I haven't a portfolio in general!
Hiring a writer here probably about $5 per 500 words on average. But there are exceptions I get $150 for a 1200 word magazine article every month A lot will depend on where the writer is living , if they are in the UK or US then they will probably need to charge more as the cost of living is higher. But then you are getting a native english speaker which is generally better than a fluent english speaker as there are certain nuances that you only pick up on if you speak english 24/7
Any magazine company. If you're pro enough and have excellent references/work you can get a job. If not you're just not going to get it yet. @ Orignal Post I see its about 1-5 cents a word.
Ultimately, this depends on the specifications of what is needed, the audience, the niche, etc. But quality I think begins at 5 cents for this work --- I'm currently paid anywhere from $25-$250 for this type of work. Magazine work --- usually 10-50 cents, however I have been paid $1/word before. It all depends.
My DP clients start at around $.20 / word, and go significantly higher (depending on by-lines or ghostwriting, length, type of writing, etc.). Don't get discouraged by all of the low rates you see posted publicly. Build your reputation here, and you'll find the underground referral market is much more lucrative than the publicly-posted ads for writers.
I also think that's because you're a moderator so you get ++++++++++REPPPP for it to Or at least I think I don't know.
Absolutely not. I only became a moderator a few months ago. It didn't in any way affect what I charge here. And I had full DP rep before becoming a mod.
You get what you pay for is the bottom line. But plan on spending $15-$25 an article if you don't want to spend hours editing each article.
