The real estate industry is the oldest profession in the world :D

Medical marijuana dispensaries are the way to go.

Herion should be banned because it's a man made substance. But if people want to sit around all day and smoke opium all day, it's no concern of mine. The issues are that liberals beleive that the taxpayers should provide welfare and free healthcare to this people that are abusing drugs.

It would be cheaper than detecting, capturing, prosecuting, and incarcerating them, though a lot of attorney's would be pissed for the lack of income. Personally, I don't think the state should pay for incarceration or rehabilitation. Let em smoke themselves into oblivion. Over population is the world's single biggest problem. The money saved on prosecution and rehabilitation could be spent on moving them off the street into "rehabilitation camps" in the Arizona desert once they become completely indigent. Hell, send em to Somalia.

[edit]For the heroine users, the government could supply it for free in exchange for having a tracking device implanted under their skin. That would make them easy to bust when they start stealing to feed themselves.

Just give them a plot of land out in New Mexico so they can grown their own. They will have to make a choice between food or drugs.

Then, by your logic, antibiotics should be banned because it is a man made substance?

And you agree that opium should not be banned because it is not man made substance?

Well, doctors will have a busy time prescribing 10.000 (+) tons of marijuana each year. But it is better doctors selling it, than giving the marked to organized crime.

The trouble with his side is they dont rely on sound logical arguments nearly as much as they rely on ranting hyterics.

Wow, quite a bold prediction. I personally don't think it will happen, but I would support it if it were possible.

I think before you get any government aid you should get a drug test and if you fail you can't get shit.

Just curious, I know you're for pot legalization but what is your view on the harder drugs?

That sounds good except we wouldn't have any politicians left. :p

Good idea! Let Doctors sell it. The free market can help us reduce the cost of healthcare.

A lot of people that are getting government aid don't use drugs. They are illegal aliens that have day laborer jobs for cash.

Nate, I don't see how the government can dictate what an individual is allowed to do/put in his/her body so I'm for, at least, the decriminalisation of all substances. I know this wasn't your point, but the idea that substance use inherently leads to degenerate behaviour is a fallacy. There are lots of people who take drugs and lead perfectly respectful and productive lives, history is littered with them. Sure there are some degenerates that use drugs, but the drug use is a symptom of a problem, not the cause of it. Homeless people and hookers aren't in that situation because they take drugs, they take drugs because of the situation they are in.

I don't really care if people use drugs as long as it's required that all people receiving government services need to pass a drug test.

Homeless is a situation where people don't have money to pay rent. So taking drugs doesn't help the situation.

Hookers are in the situation because they use drugs? Perhaps. Depends on the situation.

So are you saying you would like to live by the laws of those smarter than yours?

The idea in democracy is that the majority control :)

Which the framers of the US Constitution took great care to place limits on. They understood just how dangerous the rule of the majority can be.

Does that include nicotine? or just the ones you have been lead to believe are more damaging? What about fat people? Should they be bared from using services regardless of how much they have contributed towards the service through taxes and regardless what the service is?

Citizens aren't children who can have their toys taken away for being naughty, you have to rationalize and justify what you say, not just state that drugs are bad and anyone who does them should be denied services they have invariably paid for.

I never said it helped, i said they take drugs because of their situation.

No, i actually said the exact opposite.

Are you reading what i'm saying? Actually, start by reading what you're saying, then move on to what i'm saying, because you seem to understand your own arguments even less than you understand mind.

looks like you took another shit with your clothes on. Engage brain, pull down pants, then defecate. That way youl make less of a mess.
