What do you think? If you're an article writer and want to share, what topics are most ordered by your clients? If you're a webmaster of article site, what topics are you looking for? Another question is, what topics are good to generate income (from adsense or affiliates)? For me, I like to find articles which have many adsense ads, regardless of the CPC (if we're using adsense for example), something like 'diabetes' I think is better than 'how to play basketball'
Anything dealing with "how to make money" is always popular. I get a lot of requests for internet marketing topics, and lately there's been a big interest in membership sites.
My most popular writing subjects that buyers want are: #1 - Health related (acne, weight loss, diets, etc) #2 - Business related (real estate, banking, loans, law, etc) #3 - Personal related (relationships, social interaction) #4 - Other (anything from donkeys to airplanes) The best paying keywords make the best content. If you are making the website yourself, I would recommend you just write on what interests you, not keywords. Good luck!
I agree that a site that has something you're interested in will do much better in the long run. It's also important to find a niche small enough that you are not overwhelmed by your topic. As far as popular articles, I have been seeing a lot of requests for SEO and marketing style topics. Most of my work is actually rather specific to my preferred niches, though - parenting, education and teen interest. Rebecca
That's difficult to say since whichever topic you are spending your time writing on will appear to be 'popular'. Most writers write in a range of areas they know and those areas will seem to be popular to that writer. Like saying to a miner 'which is the darkest pit?' - he is most likely to answer 'this one'. Many I read say that health and related topics are big. Gardening and pets also seem to be, but that may just be my biase. Let's face it, on the internet every topic is popular! Phil
Most people do seem to own sites in the health, entertainment and other popular categories. As long as I like the subject, I have no problems tackling it.
has anybody mentioned blogging and social networking? Video blogging is starting to gain a lot of interest as well.
Thanks for all your input. Some of the topics are old common topics, like internet marketing, acne, weight loss, etc, seems that old popular topics is going to be popular forever I wonder about gambling, blogging or social networking articles, do people really need it? I mean, do you think gambler will read those articles? also about video blogging, yes, watching video is popular right now, but reading an article about video? no offence, I'm just curious here. How about travelling articles? I have a friend who likes to do travelling, I'm wondering if she can create some travelling articles and put some photos in the article, do people like this articles?
i think so. people love to see new things. just keep your posting regular, informative and has sense of humor
In terms of clients, my biggest topics are law, real estate, and Internet marketing/SEO. If you're building your own site, you'll want to work on a topic that interests you (or you'll lose interest and the profit potential will plummet).
extreme sports is a topic that is worth talking about. And don't forget that there are many wild people out there that kinda like the extreme stuff.
Hey y'all! I'm new to DP & this forum. But I'd have to say as far as popular topics go.. I have to say Adsense, Mesothelioma ( A Form of lung cancer caused by Asbestos (Not sure If I spelled that right or not, it's late at night! lol) Affiliate Marketing, and there are over 2,000 searches a day for back pain! That's all I can think of for right now. I'd be interested to hear what other people have to say! Later, P.S. Good topic!
yeah, a nice topic to discuss, probably good for forum, but do you see many ads related to extreme sports and do the ads catch the interest of people to click on them? I've just seen a skyboarding site and not many related ads being shown or the ads doesn't make me interested to visit the advertiser's sites, maybe because I'm not a skyboarding fan but compared to weight loss or acne solution for example, the ads are more likely to get higher CTR. cmiiw.
I would like to read something on the "speedway" topic, For those of you who don't know what that is I will explain. This is a moto racing sport that has lots of action involved in it.
Music is an attractive topic. Think about all the teenagers that are spending their time surfing social networks and blogs, I still haven't seen a teenager not interested in music, they could be reading your articles on a particular music topic, right?
My clients always ask for articles on common topics like travel, health, technology. Personally though, I would love to write on real experiences, like drama, relationships, or on real cool stuff like skateboarding, music and cartoon characters.
