what are your top conversion issues?

    Hey there,

I'm about to create/launch my first digital product --
and I would love your input to make sure it really meets user's needs.

(yes, and I'll make it worth your while)

The product is all about conversions -- how to get people off their backsides
and turn browsers into paying customers. You can drive traffic all day
long, but the cost of that traffic is going to stay the same whether you
convert at 0.3%, at 3% or even 30%. And getting to the higher end of this
is exactly what this product is about.

in case you're interested, see at the bottom why I think I
have a pretty good idea what works and what doesn't when
    it comes to conversion.

The product is the very best bits of my 3000 Euro/seat sales seminars.

But, as it's my first electronic product I absolutely want to knock
everybody's socks off with the quality of the product.

And I also know from my seminars, if I give too much content
(no matter how great), then people get overwhelmed and
    can't put things into practice.

So I want to make sure I take only those things
that make the biggest difference in YOUR conversions.

And here is where you come in:

and would love to get YOUR input -- what are the top questions
and concerns you have regarding conversion?

The thing I'm not sure about -- and where I'd love to hear your
views is -- what should I focus on most: affiliate marketing, own
products, e-commerce stores, the payment part (cart abandonment
is a HUGE conversion issue), email conversion, your landing pages,
    follow-up sequences...

    whatever it is:

tell me what your biggest issues are so I can make sure I really answer
    your questions.

also, could you please let me know what format you prefer?
video, audio, PDF? straight to the point list of bullets or
lots of examples and case-studies? Anything along those
lines would really help make it extra useful.

as I'll be using plenty of visual examples (unless
you all tell me you don't want any), I'm looking
for about 10-15 volunteers where I'll give you an in-depth
professional review of your website (or your offline ads,
whatever you prefer) -- which I'd like to
use as case-studies. You get a full review with plenty of
tips you can put into practice straight away, and if it's
an interesting case, you'll get added exposure by being
    featured in the product

so, if you're interested in increasing your conversions,
please have a quick think, what are your top questions,
where do you think your profits are suffering most, where
    can I help most?

If you have a website (yes, I might even consider CPA
offers...), feel free to submit it as a review-candidate.
In practice, we'd then spend a little time on skype, so
I can find out more what the *real* purpose of your site
is, what your target audience is and then we'll figure
out ways to improve the site.

please just reply in this thread so everybody learns from it

many thanks in advance for your input

    Veit

PS: regarding the making it worth your while: I'll give the
first 20 'proper' (i.e. a little more specific than "my conversion
sucks") replies a free review copy.

PPS: here's the "I know what I'm talking about bit"

In 'normal' life I teach sales-reps for newspapers how to help their
    clients design ads that

    a) create massive response and

    b) absolutely crush it in terms of conversion.

I'm not really known in the IM space, I've only done one IM project
as an affiliate -- and that only because it wasn't an IM product, it
    was a business growth product.

However, in that promotion I absolutely crushed it -- despite having
a much smaller list than the IM big guns I was competing with:
    check out:

    http://affiliates.stompernet.com/blog/

look for sales-competition on right hand side: Veit Schenk in #4,
that's me;-). Then check out the other names in that list, recognize
names like Rich Schefren, Jeff Johnson and Keith Wellman?

I'm not saying this to brag, but to illustrate that when it comes to
response and conversion I know what I'm talking about.

this one is primarily about conversion, i.e. the assumption is you've got
traffic, but you want to squeeze more out of it, i.e. get more
visitors to do whatever it is you want them to do (pay you money
    would be a good start;-)

    Veit

PS: if you're after traffic, there are plenty of great posts in this forum
(just today there was a top10 ways of getting traffic post)
but: if most here say traffic is a bigger issue to them than conversion,
then we'll focus on the traffic part a bit more.

broadly speaking: the traffic side of things often is "interruption marketing",
whereas the conversion side is more "permission marketing".
