IMHO, it has some great collection of articles, very informative and useful. On big flop side, the sporadic contribution by people who believe they are cleaning up wikipedia. There is no fixed criteria to apply to what links be contained in external links section. I see that every now and then some guy comes in modifies the list. My clean (no ads, no links..nothing) community sites was removed citing that wikipedia is not for private websites, and yet the list contained private, commercial websites (and even broken links). The person who removed my link, didn't even go through the existing links (he would have found the broken link otherwise) and he just chopped off my site link. What kind of contribution is this? IMO its more of disservice to wikipedia than contribution. grrrr...I guess I just tasted sour grapes
those 2 sum it up for me. wikipedia really only gained notoriety cuz dmoz links from it. I think its a dmoz project isn't it? Otherwise, its full of easily obtained, generic (and doubtfully accurate) information.
