What are your thoughts on scientology religion ?

The more i read about it the more i like it. But being a religion just like many other ones it has a few flows. They believe that every one on earth lived in an other planet before and latter the spirit came down to earth. Also is run like a corporation and all the individual churches are a franchise to the main church and have to pay a portion of their earnings to it. So you need to pay all kinds of fees to be a part of this religion.

What i like about it :
Scientology claims that its beliefs and practices are based on rigorous research, and its doctrines are accorded a significance equivalent to that of scientific laws.
In Scientology no one is asked to accept anything as belief or on faith. That which is true for you is what you have observed to be true. An individual discovers for himself that Scientology works by personally applying its principles and observing or experiencing results.
Also i like the fact that there is no God in Scientology religion

Most all the "science" in scientology is cheap quakery which was refuted decades ago. Read up on the E-meter, for example.

All hail the dark lord Xenu! :p

Thank you Rebecca. After reading a lot material from the search i am very surprised how this religious group has been able to get a tax exempt from the IRS. I am glad that i wasn't planning to spend any of my money on this religious group. I hope this thread comes up when other people search in Google for Scientology religion so other people see it. But i could see how some people get sucked in in to this money paying mess.

Xenu, also Xemu (pronounced /ˈziːnuː/[1][2][3]) was, according to the founder of Scientology and science fiction writer L. Ron Hubbard, the dictator of the "Galactic Confederacy"

so many funny things in one sentence LOL...

dammit now i need 360.000$ to clear the Body Thetans from my body?

each person on planet earth has 2,209 of these Body Thetans (BT's for short), Hubbard's term for the alien spirits, attached to you causing you and all mankind to be constrained by Xenu's false reality. The average cost for Scientology to OT 8 is a mere USD 360,000, meaning that each BT only costs USD 163 to clear. Now that is a bargain if there ever was one.

Hubbard never said the overall cost to the planet would be cheap, but let's examine it. The planetary cost equation is as follows: 13.5 trillion spirits times USD 163 equals a mere USD 2,205,000,000,000,000.

and thats TAX FREE...crazy crazies get to not pay taxes while normal people end up in jail for it...

I like your math! Its always easiest, IMO, to equate things to dollars. A Body Thetan(BT) to dollar conversion, while knowing how many Body Thetans an average person has lets one plan for the future.

It saddens me that we don't have these types of numbers for global warming. What I need to feel good about giving my money to Al Gore(Carbon Credits) are some numbers so I can do my goal setting. For instance if we let

PricePerCredit = The US Price per Carbon Offset
ChangePerCredit = The net Change in the Earth's temperature per carbon offset purchased or Net Change in the pace of change of the Earth's temperature per carbon offset purchased
CurrentTemp = The Current Temperature or Current Pace of Change
TargetTemp = The Target Temperature or Target Pace of change
Population = The current Earth Population

Then the formula for how much I should pay would be something like:

    $Amount = Population / (PricePerCredit * (TargetTemp-CurrentTemp)/ChangePerCredit)

The problem is, my formula keeps giving me a divide by zero error.....

I think I'm better off spending my money on purging my Body Thetans.

Actors are notorious for being easy to con... it isnt like being able to memorize lines somebody else wrote means they're really bright.

Which makes ya wonder why when they endorse some politician it gets quoted in this forum as though it matters.

Actors endorse whoever helps them with their career. people around the world idolize them, but they all started somewhere and someone helped them along the way.
try leaving scientology when being in the public eye. Not an easy thing to do.

If a religion doesn't allow you to come and go if you please, that should be a red flag right there.
