Pehaps if you would just answer the questions about islam without attacking the Holy Bibly, you would not recieve such attacks. Ive seen it as well, everytime you answer a question, you have to reference the bible in some way
The truth comes out... You've been treated with nothing but respect. You're new here and are making enemies fast of people who tend to be very helpful to other's here in other parts of this forum, regardless faith, creed, sex, race, etc... I've said nothing about Muhammad, nothing at all that is insulting. I personally do not believe he is/was a prophet. That is my opinion and right, not an insult. You on the other hand have supported the degradation and rape of women. You have attacked members in this forum who have not attacked you. You have attacked a religion that, ironically, was the inspiration for your own religion, and or twisted version you have chosen to tout. The difference between you and me is, I realize this is just an internet forum. I don't take anything here personally.. Never have, never will. I get along with a great deal of people here, and have some good discussions with people that I have differing opinions with. I just do not go to bed angry like you, then wake up with the thought of attacking others again as the first thought on my mind. Be safe and have a great Thanksgiving!
First off, because this thread is about Islam not Christianity, secondly i am not fooled by your sarcastic attempt to mock me and my faith. Now for your question, the old testament laws are deeper now than they were, they apply, but not in the same way that they did. the new testament refines them. Jesus tells us he is not hear to abolish the law, but to fulfill it.
So are you saying that the old testament laws applied to that time and that time only? You know, kind of like marrying 8 year olds was legal in the day of Muhammed? Yes, thank you for answering my question and exposing the hypocrisy of proteindude at the same time.
1. 2. Err, No i dont!!!!!!!!! I even said in that thread the rapists should have been put to death, so dont put rubbish in my mouth. 3. My religion is not inspirations, its REVELATION. and the (original) bible/jesus was only ever intended for the jews. Your so patient and kind arenty you, almost angelic: Oh And btw dont try and tell me if i slapped you across the face, you would just stand there.
I won't get into the sparring match over the relative merit of Christianity and Islam. I will say that you did far more than merely say the rapists of that girl should be put to death - you said the girl deserved her punishment, which was to be whipped for getting into the car of a strange man. Personally, I wish the tone by everyone could be toned down, so we could learn something.
No I didn't say that at all, do you even read what i type or are you just writing what your own opinion is?
This thread is deader than a jihadist. It's unfortunate that not more people get a chance to talk to your everyday Muslim to see what Islam is all about. What law broken by someone who believes in Christ will cause them to go to hell?
Actually even more so... Jesus has made the laws even harder. Thall shall not commit adultery, is now thall shall not think of committing adultery, the mere thought can not enter the mind.
Cool, so why do no christians follow the laws set? And if it is the case why can't i quote the old testament? Mia said I couldn't quote the old testament as if it was invalid or something.
Kalvin, you have never been an honorable debator in this forum, in my opinion. I do not appreciate your using my point of contention with Aceday in an attempt to fit your agenda.
We are all sinners, no one is pefect but Jesus, we are commanded to follow these laws and this is why christ was sacrificed. He died for our sins, the laws we could not keep. You can quote the old testament where you like, but you must keep in mind the new, when doing so
They do, to the best of their ability, we as Christians strive to be like Jesus, it is our mission to obey God, and many of us through the power of God, come pretty close. We show God we love him by obeying him. We all fall short of Gods glory
In essence, Christians are told to do their best to follow the Mosaic law. That said, in the Christian ethos, it is acknowledged that no one is capable of following the law as far as Christ has said the law penetrates - into the heart of man. And so, in their ethos, it is through salvation by the Grace of Christ that they are forgiven their human shortcomings. This is the "fulfillment" of the law, or covenant with man, that they speak of as coming with Christ's advent. Personally, I am quite interested in the writings of Rumi.
I have an agenda? I thought it was a point worth emphasizing as Aceday is not the first Muslim on this forum to support the punishment of rape victims. Do you follow the laws of your religion perfectly? Do you follow the laws of your society perfectly?
Yeah, you did... And a bit more.. You said the women deserved what she got as well, both from the men, and the law. Sorry, but it was inspired by another religion.. I think that is what bothers Muslims the most.. That they were not first.. That is why they hate Jews; because they are the chosen ones.. This fact is blatantly apparent in your posts. I think I have been very patient with you.. Anyone else would have put you on ignore by now. If you actually slapped me, I'd probably laugh at you and call you a girl.
No i didnt, stop lying just because you have been shown to be an idiot throughout the past 4 pages, you didnt even know Corinthians was in the new testament, i think a theological debate with someone like that is an insult to christians. You only fool your self with your stupid baseless claims about islam. Your the kind of christian who celebrates christmas, when GOD cursed those who bring in tree's, decorate them and put ornaments beneath them in the bible. You sound more like a pissed off kid than anything.
