Ask yourself this, would God want Himself to be connected with an animal act such as sex??? It says clearly in your Bible that Jesus is the begotten son of God. What does that mean> Ask yourself this, would God want humans to twist and throw out His words? Would God want Paul, John, Luke, Matthew, Mark to write their version of the Bible according to what they like???
I am not sure what you mean, but wouldn't you say God would want you to rethink Islam? Remember how old Alisha was? Sorry but I just cannot get over it and yet, you muslim dudes think it was OK.
Do you not get that times change? Yes it sounds sick, look at the time it was done, life spans, customs, you can't seriously be this thick unless you're trying to find a way to make a fight.
Would god want me bashing everyone and anyone who does not believe exactly as I do, starting fights, being totally unable to comprehend anything above my own self centered thoughts? As long as you believe in him, worship him, I personally doubt god could care less if you went to church or if you worshipped him at home. Your thinking definitely is not mainstream christian beliefs, nor does 'mainstream' matter nor should it to a true religious person. I think you do believe you are religious, I however do believe you are a fake, falsely using the religion for other than what it was meant for.
http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=547290 BTW this is a way to ask a question, without an attempt to start a fight. You might learn something protein... Had you simply asked a question I more than likely would not even be in here
mo-leh'-deth From H3205; nativity (plural birth place); by implication lineage, native country; also offspring, family: - begotten, born, issue, kindred, native (-ity). simply the offspring of, does not imply sex was involved How do you figure those men wrote what they like? those men were inspired by god, have you ever noticed they all tell the exact story. Yet there was no real interaction with each other
you actually have a point here, as far as going to an institutional church, in biblical times, they actually met in houses.
If you give the respect of actually reading and maybe responding to what I posted I may consider yours. But, alas, to answer my questions would be too hard to actually dig in, easier is it to just try to confuse some reader who may not know the Bible and actually believe what you are saying. To you the end justifies the means, to lie to get their is ok to you.
I don't think he is capable of understanding what a virgin is. Some strange things in some cultures where certain men can devirginize their relatives daughters. Maybe this is the culture he lives in??
Yes, and wasn't there a time w/o churches?... I've actually read articles in the past, and no I can not link to them as it's years and years ago. But anyways by religious people showing how churches themselves were not of the bible when they first were put into place, they were more of man than god. I'm not saying there is anything against them, simply the notion that one must attend church IMHO is false. Those who claim that today do it more out of their out upbringing of going to church, they feel it's normal and mandatory. Something tells me in the beginning it was not
You remind me of a lawyer who is defending someone accused of paedophilia. "Yes your honor: the case can also be made that she did not look like a person under age. Her clothes also hid her true age, also the make up she was wearing, blah, blah blah." Some things I can get over but when you talk about a prophet that claims he is the greatest ever and YET he takes an 8 year old kid as his wife??? Excusing a guy who takes an 8 year old as his wife??? Unbelievable. In the US army, if a general commits adultery he loses his job. Some folks are held to higher standards because of their position (http://www.usatoday.com/news/washington/2005-08-10-general-romance_x.htm). In this case we have what many call the greatest prophet ever. So wouldn't you expect a higher standard from the highest prophet ever?
some people need that feeling of being a part of a community. In the south, churches are big, it`s the Sunday thing to do. I myself don`t like going to church. Sitting there for 3 hours without being able to smoke a cigarette sucks
Are you flipping serious? How many years ago was this? Times change, customs change, life span changes. To compare what happened back then with todays standards for marrying is simply nonsense. Simply unreal you are this thick headed. --- edit BTW I am not defending, I am seeing it for what it is. You however show yet again to be totally blind. You can not under any logical sense compare that time frame with todays time frame.
3 hours w/o a smoke! Damn when I smoked even going 15 minutes was pure HELL! I understand why people feel the need to go, all the power to them to go. I just have never been one for it, even as a child.
