I've seen quite a few pages on google ads which simply have a referral link to a product, basically they're not advertising their site, but they just refer people to a certain product with their link. So I guess all you need to do is find a suitable product that you will like to use for making affiliate sales, find a cheap adwords keywords, and your ad will appear on google ads. So I did some math, and I think I put up a fairly realistic scenario, here's how it goes: Let's say you get 20$ of each sale of the affiliate product, and an adwords click to your referral link of the product costs 0.10 $ . Let's assume there is a 1-2% conversion, meaning from each 100 visitors, one or two will buy the product, (is 1-2% pessimistic?). 100 users at 0.10$ a click on adwords will cost you 10 $, and you will earn 20-40$ if you had a 1-2% conversion, if you can get a higher conversion rate you can earn even more. Sounds pretty good, I just thought of this myself, but I'm pretty new at affiliate sales, so I'm wondering what the more experienced one think about the idea that I listed... do you think that with the right niche and cheap adwords ads with a convicing text, and the right affiliate product choice.. you can make money, pretty much on autopilot, using the method I described?
Thats the theory and it works very well... IF you know what you are doing!!! I know it's been said over and over, but not all Keywords are created equal. Here's the bad news....typically cheap keywords DON'T convert. Thats why they are so cheap. So you need to bid on a lot of keyword variations, misspellings, phrases etc, but more importantly you have to track conversions so you know which words are gold and which ones you need to dump. Quality is always better than quantity. If you choose the right keywords, and the sales copy is good, it is possible to get double digit conversions. Man thats a great feeling...but the second you hit a good phrase expect competition to creep in quickly.... everybody is watching Good luck
Double digit conversions (shocked) .. You can make a lot of money if you manage to get that. Thanks for the info, I might try this method in the near future. I guess I need to do plenty of research to choose the right topic and keywords. Also, you've got some great content on your blog!
I dont think these are realistic numbers. My thoughts are that if you get $20/sale...each product is worth about ~$300-500 at the very least. With products like this, you will never get CPC's as low as .10 cents. I would say your CPC's are more like $.75-1.50 on the low end, and you can assume with optimization you will get 3-5% conversion rate...this is a very good conversion rate though.
There are products that give you 50% percent per sale, some even 75% so you can find a 40-50$ product in which you make around 20$ dollars of it. Also, I'm just doing some keyword research at the moment, I've found some great fairly frequently searched keywords for which there isn't any ad competition from Google, what's the minimum I can put as CPC for those, can I put 0.01$?
i would like to know about these 75% commission rate places please if your QS is perfect, .01 is the lowest you can go. if there's a product to be sold, most likely you wont find it at that rate. if you do...please pm me the details
mberman84, just look around, it's not so hard to find program that give you such high commissions. I cannot think of any in particular, but search a bit on clickbank you will find some nice offers. It sucks for me because clickbank doesn't support my country so I cannot register, and I really could use some of the affiliate offers they have.
The thing is, Clickbank is sleazy, they have those products with outrageous claims and fishy testimonials, they know how to tempt you into buying a product. I signed up to shareasale, but their products were mostly honest and modest, and that just doesn't sell. I'm haven't tried azoogle or neverblue, Yesterday I signed up on shareit.com . I don't know anything about it, but the product I wanted to advertise was using them, so I guess I have to wait and see how it goes. What's your experience with azoogle and neverblue. I'm looking for something with a large amount of affiliate products, something like clickbank, any suggestions?
well i just started affiliate marketing with PPC to CPA...through neverblue. not making money yet, but good learning experience so far. selling actual product, i have a ton of experience with ebay through CJ (now ePN). i wasnt spending a dime and was making $600/month. just takes a lot of setup time and SEO. that being said, now that ebay switched to ePN, they suck. i went from $600/month to $5/month. but i will give them time to fix their bugs.
I'm sorry to hear that, that has to suck. Look around, try other services, you will find something better I'm sure. I'm currently trying different sites to see what they offer.
yes, sucks very badly. hopefully they make up for it with a huge bonus. the thing is, my main money maker (or what use to be) is a BANS site...so there's no much else i can do with it unless i do a redesign and possibly lose SE rankings.
