What are your strategies in promoting an app?

    I have this app http://apps.facebook.com/friendsduel (a facemash app for your friends) and I want to promote it. Can you suggest ways? How effective are they? And features I could add to the app to make it more viral?

    man thats like the oldest app on facebook....no one likes voting on that stuff anymore. going to be hard to get it to take off
