Hi I have just started affiliate marketing 3 days ago. I need a bit of help. I have done lots of reading on getting traffic for the product. I have my squidoo lens, I have followers on twitter and have a few articles pending review. Is there any help you could offer to get me more exposure for the product I am marketing. I am not afraid of putting in the hours I just would like to know the best way of using those hours wisely. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Pete
Squidoo lenses, Hubpages, ezines and other free traffic generation methods are some what related to SEO. If you had not studied SEO, that is the first thing you must do. This will give your action an proper direction.Else there are tons of way from PPC to video marketing. At following site you will get 77 ways of traffic generation but you need to subscribe.(Note.This is not my site) http://www.associateprograms.com/
I would suggest you to concentrate on Free methods for the time being... as you are newbie and there is high risk involved in PPC, off course the returns may also be high. As you already have squidoo lens, you can start doing social bookmarking of your lens. There are some free semi automated SB tools available like socialposter.com and socialmarker.com Don't do a lot of SB in a single day as google might punish your lens for fast link building (I have experienced this in past) but if you keep on doing slow and steady link building, you will surely get good ranking in search engines for your targeted keywords. One more thing, always do proper keyword research before writing articles and target low competition and decent volume keyword, i know this task is time consuming but its worth. --Ashish
I use a lot of free traffic. Places like smartsafelist.com, hubpages.com, and I do a lot of article writing. Right now my top article directory is ArticleBase
