I used the information from one of my directories: www.addyoursitefreesubmit.com and their generated price for that site was: $117.64/Month. I charge a one time fee of $19.00 dollars though since I believe that is fair
See if you have good PR. But That page had 60 sites so the worth is less. But you have page where is 5 or 10 links and PR is 3 or 4 this link worth high.
im with a similar advertiser (check the first link in sig) and they say "Single link value: $47/month, If you were to sell all 4 spots, you could generate $188/month in revenue" Code (markup): but in fact i only sold 1 slot so far and dont even make 10% of $188/month with that...
I got $4.62 for one links but for 10+ i'm getting only $0.00. If you'll get this tool very well known then we can rely on its estimations.
A little high. I am getting around $80 for a single link (sitewide, static, textbased, left column). Seems a little high to me, but who am I to complain
I got $28.44 for a lower left hand column text link. Actually I tried it in a few places and all of them were around $30. That's with four advertisements, i didnt try it with different numbers for that.
The link ad price calculator algorithm has been improved and is more accurate, for those of you who have already tried it out, see what values it now gives for your site/s. If you haven’t tried it out yet, give it a try at http://www.adsbay.co.uk/Link_ad_price_calculator.php Also leave your comments about the calculator on the AdsBay Blog at http://www.adsbay.co.uk/Blog/?cat=4
ummmm.... $0.00/Month? wtf? for 10+ links that is... for 1 link it's $9.37. For 6 it's $0.97. I don't think it's really correct.
Hi Wekky This is a mistake made by several people. The calculator only calculates the value of one link at any time, so if there is only one ad/link on your site then it is worth more than if there were 6 or 10. So basically you have to multiply the price that is calculated by the number of ads you have selected, to tell you what you could potentially receive for all the links. This was going to be automatically calculated, although the problem is that ad spaces in different locations on the page are worth different amounts, so a straight forward multiplication would not be the most accurate value. The best way to find out what all your ad space is worth is to select each space separately and record the generated values and then add them all up. This will give you a much more accurate answer to what your ad space is worth. I hope this is clear! If you have anymore questions, please feel free to ask
I didn't even assume that. I knew/presumed it was a value for only 1 link. But I think you need to change your algorhthm a little, those extra large link values, the extra small ones, and the huge difference between the price for different link amounts is just too unbeliveable. Try and constrain your prices a little bit (make smoother transitions from price to price, etc). Just my 2 cents.
The reasons the price changes so quickly for the different amount of links is that the more links you have on your page the more each advertiser is competing for click throughs, which in turn reduces the amount of click thoughts they get. So, if their ad is not getting as much notice/click throughs it should be worth less. Using your example above (I'm not sure what options you chose though), if you chose different locations and added them up, it should come to just under the $9.37 you got for 1 ad (although this also depends on which locations you choose). Maybe you could generate the link, with all the setting you used and post it here, so I could look into it a bit more.
Sorry a bug was found with the calculator when using the “Technology†category, which caused the price not to change when using that category. It has been corrected and is now working correctly.
Lol I consistently got $0 for mine My site is a proxy directory, awesomeproxies.com The sites listed at the top get around 50 hits a day I know that's worth ALOT more than $0 Can't say that I believe in tools
I got $0.72 when I checked your site, also your site seems to be very new (has PR0) and because it uses data collected from various sources, those sources need to have recognised your site and given certain values for it. Unfortunately this cannot be solved, but if you try the calculator in a month or so you will most probably see an increase.
Yep I understand thats its new, its impossible for your calculator to see that my site is a directory and not a "site" as such... therefore it doesn't know it sends out more alot more traffic than normal. Its okay though, nothings perfect. Compliments on the tool though, its easy to use.
