What are your first 10 links that you usually build?

I'm a complete newbie here. Lately I have been creating some new websites and I'm going to start link building soon.

Typically, I have started with building links from creating squidoo, wordpress, blogger pages along with some basic bookmarking sites. But I haven't built any links in about a year.

These days, what are the easiest, strongest first 10 links that you build?

 

major part works on building links from

1- squidoo
2- aboutus
3- Wiki pages
4- High PR pages
5- EDU and GOV websites
6- Forums signatures
7- Social bookmarking websites
.................................... but if you ask for a professional link building you will get better

great list, thank you for not including hubpages. i recently dislike them and can relay on them

 

The fastest is way to get quality backlinks is from buying at Link Sales forum.

Other than that, you can find dofollow blogs and comment on it.

Link buiding is a gradual process, and currently it is in air that Google will give more value to the backlinks that come from deep within the content body

If I build a link from other websites that I own that are on the same server as my site that I am trying to rank, do these count as much as links on sites that other people own hosted on different servers?

 

This will not be very effective if the links are from the same server or IP C class. Google is very good at dececting this and devaluing the link juice.

I'm done buying links. I did it once and got ripped off (big suprise).

Apart from the links suggested by other users here, concentrate to implement a link building campaign targeting sites of your niche. Avoid Link farms or sites that have huge number of outbound links.
Try to build contextual links from sites that are aged and similar to your site's theme. This factor should improve your site's SEO scores as it is highly valued by Search Engines.

 

To tell u the truth, the first 10 links that I built all come from link exchange!!

Not so effective, i should say, but at least it is relevant!

The easiest links to get for a new site are directory submissions and article submissions.

 

I always try to get a few high quality backlinks from other established projects I'm running (or maybe ask a friend of you) before building hundreds of low quality backlinks from directories, social bookmarking sites and other type of spam.

 

Ezine is the best place to find initial incoming links.
