Zelda definitely one of my favorites, without a doubt! Actually played it the other day(for super nintendo)
Zelda is one of my favorite old games. So is final fantasy. (The older final fantasy games, that is. I really hate the newer ones)
I've been (re)playing text adventures. I was just a little bit too young to fully enjoy them when I first played them in the early 80s. Zork 1, 2, and 3 are available for free (legally) here: http://www.infocom-if.org/downloads/downloads.html Well worth a look if you missed it first time around. --- My favourite "old game" of all time is still Pop'n Twinbee on the SNES. I've got my old EeePC setup as an emulator running into my TV so I can play SNES, NES, SMS, etc... Other favourites include Jaki Crush (SNES), Alex Kidd (SMS), Chaos Engine (SNES).
I was a big fan of the original Command and Conquer games...before that I was like everyone else...a "Mario-guy"
