Youtube, CL, BP, Twitter, Myspace, Facebook, Press release sites, Digg, and other similar sites like these. Easy way to get indexed and gain some decent traffic. Just make sure to optimize your back links to be interesting and ensure that someone wants to see what you offer.
PAD submissions for your product. Those always get you a huge amount of back links if you do it correctly. I use a pretty solid service for my other websites PM me.
You can use Craigslist to post ads for your site or product. You can even create an ad in an HTML editor, take a screen shot and post it as an image. Or you can copy the HTML and paste it into the ad, including clickable links. It might get blocked, it depends on what category you post it and if you get reported.
Social bookmarking (delicious, digg, stumbleupon, reddit, mixx) and social networking (facebook, orkut, twitter, myspace) are good source of traffic.
