Yeah I mix 12 inch. Got two Technics 1210's. Mixer is messed up at the mo though. Used to play every week down at the student bar. Don't spin that much lately but still have well over a grand's worth of plastic lying around.

I've added another retro sound to my collection: Electric Light Orchestra. I got it for father's day :)

I think I may have to go investigate Gorillaz since they get mentioned so often.

Yeah, LCD Soundsystem are cool too... Get the album. It takes a while to get into but I find albums like that tend to take longer to get bored of ;)
They seem to be untra popular in the indy scene at the moment too...

All that funky disco type feel is sooooo-in this year ;)

Phoenix sped up on 45 RPM and cranked up sounds like a great techno tune. I've got their gig in Birmingham live on 12 inch as well. Homework or something it's called.

jermiqua or whatever stuff is all right, most of the stuff i heard by gorillazs sounds sort of moronic once you hear it a few times, maybe I need to get some more stuff by them.

Beloved vinyl, do you guys have like a million half ass djs were you are.

Where I lived in ny it seems like every person had a set of turntables, dj this and dj that, check out this mix and that. Just freaking chill out and play the stupid record.

My first apartment only furniture in the downstairs was a set a turntables, this club called the abyss got shut down and some of my roomates friends stole a bunch of the sound system, so we had like 5 foot speakers in my kitchen.

That was around the time when that moby album move came out, and that doctor cook remix song with phone call in the beginning.

I am listening to james addiction now, freaking perry ferrel is selling the janes addiction songs , like eh doesn't have enough money. Now the ads for the new herbie movie have that song "go" I thinks its called.

Do you guys listen to the plump djs? I just downloaded a bunch of their stuff.

Never heard of Plump DJ's... I'll look out for them.

Janes man... They used to be soooooo good!

What do you make of AudioSlave (THe front man is Chris Cornell of SoundGarden). The first album was nearly OK, but the latest one sucks ass... Big time...

I had weed thru tons bogus files on kazaa to get those audio slave songs, I thought they were 50 50.

I've seen soundgarden live a bunch of times at the lollaolooza and at the roseland ball room in NYC, I should look around for that old album with loud love on it, and other song about killing your mother, hands all over I think is the name of it.

Perry Ferrell was supposed to come out with some techno stuff, but the only thing I ever heard him on was singing on some track with Paul Oakenfold. Thats song whores is like one of my favorite songs ever.

Plump DJs rule. My mix buddy has loads of vinyl of them. It's really good stuff. They make the best breakbeat.

OK I dug out the coolest Plump DJs tune ever. Too bad for you guys it was limited print and has never been officially released. DJ Promo only.

Try and find: Plump DJs vs Donna S - Donna Kebab and you'll be a happy bunny.

I will fight you like a Tarantula. Pierce your skin and leave my poison in.

PS If God is a DJ and I am a DJ, does that mean I am God?

Heh, their Front end is Cornell, and their backend is Rage Against the Machine.

It'd be funny if Zach (lead singer from Rage) jumped in with the band of Soundgarden. Zach was supposed to be doing some solo stuff, but I haven't heard anything about it.
