What are top traffic directories?

I just would to ask you to share your personal experience with for a top directories that send real traffic to your site.
I've site in many directories but most of them are useless.
Foe example Site-Sift (PR 8), Teoma (Pr 6), Skaffe (PR 6), Abilogic (PR 6), DMOZ (PR 9) that are supposed to be high traffic directories with good PR and good traffic (according to Alexa) are for myself useless.
By Site-Sift and Teoma i've site that is listed about 1-2 month and i did receive a very little or nihil traffic.Wonder how they generate they traffic and of they traffic is actually real?
Skaffe send me nothing for been listed by them for about 2 weeks.
DMOZ send me a couple visits what is really nothing.

Only good directories in my experience that send a lot traffic are JoeAnt (more than 1000 visits monthly) and Ldmstudio (about 200 visits monthly).

 

No directory will send you significant amounts of visitors daily. Not even the mighty DMOZ or Yahoo directories. A couple visitors every now and then, but that's all you should really expect from any directory. For serious amounts of traffic you must look elsewhere.

 

Thanks but my logs show me a lot visits from JoeAnt and Ldmstudio directory.
They ar probably a couple more as JoeAnt and LDMstudio.The fact that JoeAnt send me more than 1000 visitors monthly is a really top top directory.
LDMstudio is free but still send a couple hundred visitors.
They must be more such a good directories.Forget PR.Only directories that counts are traffic directories.

 

That seems quite high for a directory, even one as well-respected as JoeAnt. You must have a great listing in a very popular category. Or JoeAnt just visit your site regularly to check and see if your link is still live.

 

I have great listing by JoeAnt but even the site from another friend that do not have such a great listing got a lot visitors from JoeAnt.
He did receive for 2 weeks about 300 visitors.
Ldmstudio do also pretty god job.So they must be more directories with a respectable traffics.
They do not need to send a lot visitors as JoeAnt but a couple hundred visitors every month (100 and more) is something what i consider as well respectable directory with a good traffic.
Ldmstudio is for free listing really great.Excellent.

 

Here are the ones that send me the most traffic in the order of traffic...

alivedirectory.com (but probably only because of the homepage link)

addyourlink.org
favouritelink.com
joeant.com
kingbloom.com
alltheinternet.com
hotvsnot.com (which is banned by Google, but still gets traffic!)
galaxy.com (I used to get a lot more from this one, but it has slowed down recently)
businessseek.biz

So that's my top 10 list.

 

AliveDirectory is the only one I've ever gotten more than 1 or 2 clicks from... not that it sends insane traffic or anything, but it's the only one worth mentioning.

 

Kingbloom sends me the most traffic. Depending on the site, anywhere from 5-50 visitors a month. 1000 visitors a month seems pretty hard to believe, like PortProphecy said maybe its a bot.

 

Thanks guys for share your experience. I will try with some other directories to see of i can generated some more traffic (never enough traffic ).
My site is already listed by Kingbloom but because probably of their listing structure (from A to Z) i do not receive any visits.
Alltheinternet is DMOZ clone. No need to submit.Already submitted.
Other charge a small amount but because you receive 1 or 2 clicks it looks as waste of money.
Regarding JoeAnt i would to say that i have top position site on JoeAnt and that JoeAnt send me a really visitors.
And according to Awstats number of visits for march was about 1300.
I'm dissapointed in some commercial like site-sift, teoma, skaffe, abilogic that send nothing.
Still wonder how is possible that traffic for site-soft is 12,153 , for skaffe 12,266 , for teoma 7,281 and they send nothing!?
It looks as they have about between 6000 - 10000 visits daily.
Logically with such a traffic it looks impossible that site listed by them do not receive any visits.
Anybody have experience with GoGuides Directory , illumirate, Uncover the Net, Sightquest or any other directory?
