My forum is a month old with around 64 members as of now.
Today there were around 14 sign ups, but I can see that they are all bots.
I have not enabled the user e-mail verification and also disabled capcha to make it easy for the people to sign up.

Earlier also these bots signed up, but not in huge numbers as today.
They have not started to spam so far.

What worst can these mass sign-ups do?
    Should I be worried?

    Regards,

These bot sign ups. Do they not post, however have a link to some website in their profiles we're it as users website or something like that?

If that's the case. It's to just give them backlinks. :D

    Post the URL.

My forum url is in my signature, if thats what you are asking.

But neither do they post nor they have a signature.
They don't have any website name in their profiles.

But its amusing to even think that somebody is seeking backlink from a 1 month old forum :D

BTW, I have created a separate "user defined group" for these bots and named the group as "Spam bots". The group is given permission the same as "guest".

This will help me to watch their action closely.
If needed, I can do a mass-delete later when I choose to. :p
