What are the ways to focus only on google.co.uk

    Hello all,

    Just a doubt that I want to ask here for any SEO experts around what are the ways to get your position up for your website on a particular keyword just for google.co.uk site? I mean we mainly focusing on UK visitors. any help will be great.

    When your building links try to focus on websites that are in the UK and purely devoted to UK visitors. I think it is a little funny I aimed for mainly US based visitors, but get alot of UK visits.

    Submit all submission and off page work( Article sub, directory, link exchange) in UK sites. Then UK based fresh information daily updated in your site.

    I had this problem when optimising a .com domain, I wanted to target the uk but couldnt. I had fantastic positions in Google.com and nowhere in .co.uk. After trying plenty of tips from here I eventually put my site on a .co.uk domain and ensured the hosting was in the uk.

    Im now getting some similar positions as I was getting in .com however its a little slow in climbing as the .co.uk had nowhere near as many links as the .com

    Our site has a co.uk domain and it is hosted in UK I think we wont face the same problem like you did.. Well hopefully..

    most important thing is get backlinks from UK hosted sites..
    it doesn't mean your site is uk hosted.

    2nd important think - get backlinks from .uk sites

    I am working for a Spanish customer, site (.com) hosted on a Spanish server, first language English than Spanish and German. Had some problems in the beginning to rank it well on G.com and .co.uk

    After using G webmaster tools focussing that site for UK it ranks very well in .co.uk; .es and .com
