I don't know Why People Messed-up PR with Search Engine Ranking.
In the early days of Google Search Engine it was a major factor in deciding the your position in SERP but as the webmaster and SEO started manipulating it...google has lowered its importance in Search Algorithm.

But it doesn't mean that PR has no importance.

Let me explain you how....

SERP in Google depend upon -----Backlinks you have for your domain.
Quality of Backlink depends upon------------PR of the site which is giving the backlink

So ultimately who is powerful ----Again PR (Although it is not affecting your ranking Directly but indirectly it is responsible for your ranking as well.)

Now coming to other benefit of PR

If your blog have high PR then you
1- Can get lots of Guest post (without any wffort)
2- Can get lots of comment on your each blog.
3- Can get direct Ads for your blog.

So PR is delivering lots of value to your blog or website.

Your keyword density within your page's content according to the page one serp algo density for that keyword/phrase gave you a better SERP placement. Your PR# had NOTHING to do with your serp placement.


PR has not been a SERP placement factor since fall of 2009.


PR has nothing to do with SERP, and SERP has nothing to do with PR.
